I just updated the Mission file in the value to fix a little problem. The folder name in the download ended with '2.0', which for some reason stopped the briefing from appearing in the game. So, now it just ends with '2', and this seems to fix that problem. If you have already downloaded this mission pack just renamed the folder and remove the '.0' at the end. Snack

Can you post your specs? What cpu, video card, memory, ect... And what you think you need? XP should run this as good as Win7 I believe. I would not use a bootleg copy of XP myself. Never know exactly what you are getting. I have always thought that when people get 'rid' of their old computer and buy a new one, what happens to that old licensed copy of XP? If you were given (or bought for $10) some really old piece of crap pc from sombody, can you just take the OS and use it on your rig and toss the pc?

Good time flying FC2 last night. Thanks to AP and CaptJack for showing up and blowing stuff up. Some things new to learn from FC1. Still am not sure if Refueling actually works in multiplayer though. I could refuel, but I was the host. Not sure if the clients are able to refuel. More testing needed. My Practice Mission that we flew last night has been uploaded to our Vault >> right here! << And a Sample Track that you can watch in the game to see how it's done >> right here! << I posted on the DCS forums about the MK20 Rockeye not taking out a column or exploding like in FC1. They said it had changed and these were the replies that I received. So, it looks like we need to learn to deploy different weapons in different situations than before. Wow, Rockeyes at 10,000 feet? Sounds like a good idea to learn that CCRP Tom! And start using MK82 and 84's on tanks? I think you can carry more MK82s and they should do the job on a tank, right? I though we had IL2 working when I visited you months ago. We loaded it up, but I didn't see it fly for more than a few minutes. Is it just a slide show? What cpu do you have and don't you have 2gigs of memory?

Yea, that mod does not give me any problems. I acutally use it to make the FMB fill the entire widescreen.

Is your menu bar and scrollbars invisible in the FMB? That happens to me sometimes. I usually move the mouse over the left side where the zoom scrollbar is and roll my mousewheel, which changes the zoom and makes them visible again. Not sure if this is your problem. You say you are trying to load a mission, but then you say you see the load maps screen with all the maps. Are you trying to just open a new map for a new mission, or open an existing mission you have already saved?

I disable all of my mods except these when using FMB: 00_FMBPlus 00_6DOF_Tracker_4GBVersion 01_Zuti_MDS_v1.13_UP 00_Ecran_Wide I also set my Landscape Detail to Excellent from Perfect. I made a copy of my conf.ini file when Excellent Mode was on and made a jsgme mod to install it when I use FMB. This way the game is automatically started with Excellent. Perfrect mode has caused me memory leaks and CTD only in FMB.

If you have a fair to good rig you should definitely have HardwareShaders=1. This was not possible under DirectX I believe, only under OGL. And it gives you Perfect Landscape Detail. This makes the water look Prefect! It makes a HUGE difference!! HardwareShaders is set to 0 when you select 'Excellent' Landscape Detail in your game's Options screens. it is set to 1 when you are running OGL and select 'Perfect'. You may need to turn on the Custom button to see these options. But is a must!

Flew about 30 mins of a mission with the WarHawks last night without swearing at the game too much. Actually they helped me fix a few of the things I was having problems with. Then my TS got muted and nobody could hear me ask why my Albatros was flying so slow. Found out later I should have opened my radatior because it just froze up 30 mins into the mission. In all it was pretty fun. And having people to ask how stuff works helps a lot.
