Yea, I mentioned that Pup. I was thinking of getting one to setup a security camera with wifi, but forgot all about that. But with a webcam that would be cheaper than real security cameras that do the same I think. Very cool..
  2. I'm with BA. You are welcome to my compound Sir! I've ordered the barbwire and lumber for lookout towers. I have a pond for water and a stream too, so our first priority is covered. I had 1 buck and 7 does here all day Saturday, so bring guns... lot's of guns.
  3. I'm Snacko, and I approve Chet Dumont's message as well.Git yr dirty, rotten, filthy, stink'in asses off the couch and go vote! (Oops! Did I just say that?)
  4. I have updated the first post to include a link to my jsgme mega mod pack. Easy to install. (see first post)
  5. Here's a preview. Seems kinda basic to me.. http://www.pcgamer.com/previews/silent-hunter-online-preview-theres-more-than-friendly-crustaceans-under-the-free-to-play-sea/
  6. I've put together a 'easy to install' mega mod pack for SH5 if anyone wants it. After watching hours of videos and reading instructions, I just zipped up all my mods and make a simple readme.
  7. Not sure what to make of this. I heard it is going to be free to play? http://us.silenthunteronline.com/
  8. Dam, in that first pic, I thought it was an RC Jet about 10 meters from those guys. Didn't realize it was real..
  9. Damn, I'd like to see the next picture! Pull Up! Pull Up!!!
  10. HB-FT!
  11. When you first run it, it asks for the location of the conf.ini. That is where the game stores it's joystick settings. When you are using the program, and click on the Save to Conf.ini button, it then saves it there so the game sees the changes. If you click on that other button on the left middle (kind of) it saves it to a profile that you name. That is a backup of those settings. I personally don't use the profiles. I just found it useful to setup my hotas the first time. And I stick with that..
  12. Roger Whacker. Been wondering where you went off too..
  13. There is a program called IL2JoyControl that let's you set curves for all of your axis, not just the x and y. I have my throttle set to hit 100% in the game when I hit the top afterburner bump, and go to 110 when it is pushed all the way forward. I also tweaked the curves for my trim and rudder axis. You can download the program here. (might need to login/register) Glad to help if you decide to check it out. You can actually save different profiles of curves as well. Here's a screenshot:
  14. I have always had bombbaydoors=0. I found that after playing this game for so many years, I always forgot it. And on some planes the doors do open automatically, so I couldn't remember which was which. Jolly good job 'ol chaps!! Cheerios!
  15. Can someone explain why you guys are so excited about these gliders? They have had gliders in the stock game for years. I've even made gilder missions with the stock planes over France, but nobody got that excited about it. Are these mod gliders?
  16. Tail Wheel Lock! Don't forget to feed the sheep.
  17. Nope, just the IL2. This skin fits all versions of the IL2 I think.
  18. Get it here. http://dangerdogz.com/forums/files/file/691-snackos-wheel-of-death-il2-sturmovik-skin/
  19. If you use my 'classic' instructions above, BitTorrent does a checksum on the downloads automatically, and the files have always worked the first time for me. And the download is 1 file (not 1 file broken into 6 parts to download). I know I'm preaching to the choir, but I don't get why you guys don't recommend the normal way that every other person usually installs this. Everybody on the SAS forums does it this way. (Ok, I'll shut up now).
  20. Here are some instructions I wrote up for Skypup to do it the 'classic' way, as FT puts it.. You'll need (free) BitTorrent to download one big file instead of 8 smaller ones. And it will verify the files automatically. Patch your game up to stock 4.11.1 Test game runs. Download the HSFX 6 torrent here: http://dangerdogz.co...e__hl__ torrent Install that into your game folder. Download the patch here: http://dangerdogz.co...6-0-patch-1exe/ Install patch into your game folder. Run the HSFX_Client_Updater.exe in the game folder. That's it, now your ready to play. Copy a shortcut for the il2fb.exe and jsgme.exe to your desktop. run jsgme and enable the HSFX History mod. (move it to the right side). Also we usually enable at least the Expert mode mod. If the host is using this mod, then everone needs it. You will get a connection error saying 'different version' if they are using Expert mode, and you are not. Run IL2! More info is here: http://dangerdogz.co...e__hl__ torrent Cheers Skypup!
  21. Barn, I would suggest just trying it the 'normal' way. It's fairly straight forward.. Install the game. Patch up to 4.11.1. Install mods. Run the built-in mod auto-updater.
  22. Me like bomb. Make bomb go boom.
  23. Sheep know their Shepard. In the Bible it talks about that and says the sheep know their Shepard's voice. They were talking about Christ of course. But I saw a documentary a few years ago and they showed 5 Shepards bringing in their flocks at night to a well where they spent the night. All of the sheep from the 5 flocks were inter-mingled at the well... In the morning as each Shepard left, he just called his sheep as he walked up the hills, and only 'his' sheep left the flock. The rest stayed put! The Bible talks of this, but to actually see it happen was amazing. The sheep really do know their Shepard's voice! And I bet that Snowy knew your voice. Now he knows your stomach as well..
