  2. Thread Hijack Pt 2.

I first saw this guy way back in '96 (or '97) on the G3 tour which also featured the little-known guitarists, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani :rocker:. One half-hour set and I was totally hooked. One guy, one guitar and one chair held an entire audience (about 14,000) completely spell-bound - Worth a look I hope.

Just noticed that the post I thought I'd made regarding the young lady in the first post seems to have disappeared, but wow, there's some serious talent right there.

  3. :roflmao:

Although I understand that Mrs P (a remarkably tolerant woman I have always thought) has drawn the line at the dispersal hut. Apparently the request for a flagpole to fly the RAF standard from was denied.

  4. Not necessarily, all three pilots regularly fly the spit, and the performance envelope for the display should be well within the capabilities of either machine. It'll certainly make a nice change though.

    Question is, which Spitfires?

  5. New Horsemen intel! Word is that the display team will be swapping their normal P-51 mounts for Spitfires for this years Leg Ends show! Don't worry though BluBear, Lizzy won't be heading back to the US until after the July show.

  6. What a show! Superb weather, amazing flying and Dogz (and families) in attendance - it doesn't really get much better - Got one or two photos coming...

Highlights for me were the Eagle Squadron formation (both as a four-ship with Sally B and as a 13-ship (!) formation with the Red Arrows), awesome Sabre and Hunter displays, Stephen Grey having to abort the P-40F landing and go around again, BBMF's PRXIX etc etc etc etc

    Brilliant!

  7. O M G - Just came across this from the IWM

"The Eagle Squadron will form the centrepiece of the IWM Duxford Spring Air Show 2013 on Sunday 26 May, opening the show at 1400 with a four-ship routine before splitting into pairs, followed by a formation with B-17 Preservation Ltd’s Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress ‘Sally B’.  The Eagle Squadron will take to the skies for a second time during the Air Show’s three and a half hour flying programme when they fly in formation with the RAFAT The Red Arrows prior to the Reds’ show-closing routine.  This one-off formation looks set to end the IWM Duxford Spring Airshow 2013 on a high."
