  1. Brilliant. Just like every Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday/Sunday evening for me. LOL. Awesome. Cheers Jabo
  2. LOL. It was a lot more than I wanted to spend, but having had a small bonus this month for being ace, I decided to treat myself. It's paid for the X52 and the TIR, so I'm happy. Jabo
  3. No need to chase him. It arrived here this morning. I was going to make a post about my set up woes
  4. Educashun should come first m8. We're here often enough...As for the summer....
  5. Yep, you got it. The hotel is on the left just before you get to the railway line. ~S~ Jabo
  6. 4850 retails at around the £130 mark, but bear in mind that's with 1GB of gfx memory not 512MB. 3850 which is much less widely available now is around £50 - £100 for a 512MB card. Just for comparisons sake a 1GB 4890 can be had for less than £200 (£199.27
  7. +1
  8. ~S~ GK - great post. I may just mark this NSFW (not safe for wife
  9. Close, but no cigar as the saying goes - You've come up a couple of miles short. You want this one; The Red Lion Hotel, Station Rd East, Whittlesford, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, CB22 4NL http://www.trlh.co.uk/ Good attempt though there's about six pubs in the area with the same name! ~S~ Jabo
  10. Hmm, possibly, can't see a version number for the manager, but my audio driver version is 6.0.1.5618 ~S~ Jabo

Yea im always checking the boards buddy, the one thing i can do latley without too much hassle, plan for the friday sounds good. Good, but I've got your phone number just in case.

  13. Top right hand corner of the Realtek HD Audio Manager window - "Device Advanced Settings" - click this and then select the top options for Playback and Recording devices. Do that, then try plugging your headset in at the front, and see if it recognises anything being plugged in. ~S~ Jabo
  14. A story from the Daily Telegraph to illustrate Rico's point; "Auschwitz is a beer, schoolchildren tell researchers Some schoolchildren believe Auschwitz is the name of a type of beer or a religious festival, rather than the notorious concentration camp, research has shown. Around 1.3 million people perished in the Nazi death camp during the Second World War, but a survey of more than 1,000 secondary school pupils aged 11-16 revealed that a quarter still did not know its purpose. Of those, about 10 per cent were not sure what it was, 8 per cent thought it was a country bordering Germany, 2 per cent thought it was a beer, the same proportion said it was a religious festival and a further 1 per cent said it was a type of bread. Miramax and the London Jewish Cultural Centre, which commissioned the survey to mark the DVD release of The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas, said that, as there are around 4.5 million 11 to 16-year-olds in the UK, this is the equivalent of 90,000 youngsters wrongly identifying Auschwitz as a drink and 45,000 mistaking it for bread. The poll found that six in 10 youngsters did not know what the Final Solution was, with a fifth claiming it was the name of peace talks held to end the war. And it revealed that, despite the Holocaust being specified on the secondary National Curriculum as a subject that pupils must be taught, only just over a third (37 per cent) knew that the Holocaust claimed the lives of six million Jews, with many drastically under-estimating the death toll. While 97 per cent of those questioned could identify Adolf Hitler from a photograph, those who could not mistook famous figures such as Winston Churchill, Salvador Dali and Albert Einstein for the dictator." Not all of these are 'children', some are next year's sixth formers and under-graduates in two years time - Education has a lot to answer for. ~S~ Jabo
  15. Order for TIR 5 is placed. The guy over at RC Simulations told me this morning that NaturalPoint hadn't yet shipped the unit to retailers. Prolly why everyone's showing no stock. He's expecting them in at the end of this week. I'll be chasing him then. ~S~ Jabo
  16. Yeah, he got a -1 from me.
  17. Cool, I was going to drop you a txt, but I see you're still keeping an eye on the boards. Yep, arrangements are unchanged - I'll be picking you up on Friday morning, in time for a leisurely mooch down south arriving at Duxford in time for a lateish lunch and a wander around the hangers to see what's going on, keep an eye open for arrivals and then back to the Red Lion for a beer (or two). Bloody marvelous - glad you're definitely coming over m8s. Are you OK for directions to Duxford or shall I link a map for you? Although you could sleep in the car in the car park (it's off the main road, so there should be no problem), if people have taken twin rooms and don't mind sharing, there may well be a chance of a bed in the hotel. Might be more comfortable than the car! I've updated the first post accordingly! ~S~ Jabo
  18. A bloody disgrace. Perhaps Westminster City Council would prefer a statue of Goering to occupy that plinth instead. How soon we forget... ~S~ Jabo
  19. LOL, yeah same as BoB
  20. Freetrack's a great product Sweper, I've been using it for a few months now - but - having never been fully happy with the sensitivity of system (probably more to do with the way I've set it up rather than the software), and having got more and more frustrated with the whole thing, I've canned it and gone for TIR instead. The thing which finally swung it for me was using Sid's TIR. I found it to be way smoother than my FreeTrack setup. The long and the short of it is that I think if you want a head tracker for use in IL2, you've nothing to lose by at least trying FreeTrack. It's better than spending lots of cash in the first place! ~S~ Jabo

  22. Me too - the guy's a true freethinker. Always liked the asymmetrical stuff they come up with. There's a Vari-Eze based at the airport up the road from where I work, I see it a few times a week and I think it's fab. ~S~ Jabo
