  1. LOL, so am I! yes, dear friends, as of this afternoon, I am officially an NUS member, and as such qualify for a student ticket into Legends! Jabo
  2. Or why I'm not going to be married shortly lol.
  3. Nice, never seen footage of the Peacemaker, or the Supermarine Swift (in flight). Thanks for that
  4. Yeah, the bar's not open in the morning, but at least your transport will be at the campsite rather than you having to get to the RL to get it back 'cos I wouldn't suggest driving it back to the campsite after a beer and curry evening. Jabo
  5. I'm usually up and about early on Legends day (excited, can't sleep etc lol) so if you want picking up from the campsite, and back to the RL for breakfast, that's doable.
  6. I'm sure it is Jim, what time will you need to be at Heathrow? There are only two things I have be be sure of on the Monday - 1) To ensure you and Helen are at the airport in time, and 2) get to Portsmouth in time to find chez Painless, and catch the ferry. I also have to get Jedi to (probably) Luton so he can catch a train back to Nottingham but the time can be a little flexible there as there are plenty of trains and some even go to the right destination. lol So dead easy really. Jabo
  7. Indeed it has, thanks Rog! P.S. clearing the history has solved the firefox login problem for me too. Goodbye IE!!!!
  8. Will do as soon as I can find the edit button. Glad you can make it! Jabo
  9. Well done Largie, that's a nice site from the looks of things. Don't forget Saturday evening is beer and curry session at the Black Bull in Sawston, but if you come back to the Red Lion with the rest of the motley, we can all go from there. Jabo
  10. Hi Rog, sorry to add to the issues, but Firefox 3.5.8 won't logon for me either. Well, it logs me in, but as soon as I go to another page within the forum, it logs me out again. Having to use IE at present. Urgh. Jabo
  11. Nice try Pook, but I'm afraid you'll find it difficult to qualify for the unemployed rate. Unless you can register with the DSS (or whatever it's called this week) in which case, certainly. I agree Mick, I like the flexibility too, although some of those going may only be there for the Saturday (Zooly I think). They used to do a thing where if you bought your ticket in advance, it was valid for either day, but that was changed a while back. Wait and see I suppose. Jabo PS Grrr @ Jedi
  12. Woooooo! I get in cheap Good for you, I bloody don't.
  13. Lol, I know you were m8. I've currently got "Master Of Puppets" playing in the background. but it could easily be Fleetwood Mac or Slayer next...so... The Vulcan's probably one of the loudest aircraft on the airshow circuit, but the two loudest aircraft I've ever heard was the SR71 lifting off with afterburners lit at RAF Fairford followed closely by the Saab Viggen. Real groundshakers. Jabo PS, apologies for the thread-jack.
  14. Ticket prices are out for Duxford...Sheesh. Infant (4 years or under) FREE Child (5-15 years inclusive) 10.95 Adult (16-59 years) £31.95 Senior (60 years or over) £25.95 Student £14.00 Unemployed £14.00 Adult, Senior, Student - disabled £14.00 Child - disabled £10.95 Carer (one per disabled visitor) free Friends of Duxford Adult £25.55 Friends of Duxford Senior £20.75 Group Child £8.95 Group Adult £25.95 Group Senior £20.95 Group Student £11.20 Before we start thinking about booking group tickets, bear in mind that if we do, we've no choice about which day we attend the show. I don't mind either way as the savings are not that significant, but may be worth considering. What do you guys think? Incidentally, the tickets aren't available yet in any case. Jabo
  15. StringBagCockpit.Purple=1 There's your problem Jim - This should be 0
  16. Well done Jim, glad you got it sorted. You mean it doesn't? Jabo
  17. Good job it wasn't a hangar full of warbirds - Gulfstreams etc can be replaced albeit at a price.
  18. Oh man, that's gonna be expensive to put right.
  19. On the channel theme, Operation Cerberus might be good with three axis capital ships coming up the Channel and pretty clear objectives on both sides. Jabo P.S. Beauforts (or Beaufighters), Swordfish and Spitfires against Galland's 190s. Something for everyone!
  20. Who's bashing? (excuse the pun)
  21. Rgr - I'm out of ideas in any case. Let us know how you get on BG
  22. Perhaps Jedi meant 'tasty' instead of 'excellent' - it's probably just a typo.
  23. I'm afraid The Who never really did it for me, they were a little before my time in any case. My tastes have always been on the heavier side of Townshend and co, although I've enjoyed seeing bands cover their stuff (Van Halen did an awesome cover of Won't Get Fooled Again at the NEC a few years back). I don't do opera either Jim - it's just not my cup of tea. Jabo
  24. Hi FT, you're right of course that CheckMods will replace any missing/damaged files with good ones from the blueprint, I just thought that removing the Swordfish first represented a more 'complete' replacement of a faulty mod. In any case, the mod cannot be removed simply by deleting the files (as we could with AAA UI for example) so running CM again is probably the best option. Why I'm doing this while I should be revising is a measure of just how dull an MCSE can get. Back to Advanced Networking I suppose. I kid you not, this book is A4 sized and an inch and a half thick. And that's just the Advanced Networking exam, there's another six to go. It might not be possible to die of boredom, but I'm definitely giving it a go. Jabo
  25. dohdohdohdohdohDOH! Of course, given that we're using UP2.0 all the modded aircraft are now built into the sfs files, not in the MODS folder. GAAAAAH! That's two hours of my life I won't get back... feckin mods, feckin computers, feck, feck, feckity feck feck.
