  1. @Greenstreaks, if you really do need to find where some of the dials are, have a look on disc 2 of the 1946 set. On there you will find a pdf document which has all the cockpits and a layout guide. Cheers Friar
  2. An excellent post cg, factual and concise. It was well written with good detail, but best of all, so dam funnnnnnny :k9lmao:
  3. Just to muddy the waters, I run my track ir off a usb hub which is plugged into my keyboard with no problems..
  4. Wow !

  10. Ok roger, thanks, did you get my latest communication by the way?
  11. How does 2pm Central, 8pm GMT sound for anybody Meet on team speak, if others are flying we can always use one of the other rooms.
  12. i could be persuaded to be naughty with her if she insisted.....
  13. whats central to gmt, then perhaps we can work something out that suits us both. once you have got the basics, and it wont take long, you will see what the fmb has to offer.
  14. If there is anyone who has never dabbled with the FMB and is interested to see what it is all about, I would be happy to hold a begginers class on Saturday evening for a while. The FMB is a great tool for knocking up little missions that can be flown like the Quick Mission Builder. Except that you have a wider choice of maps and scenarios that be pre-programed.
  15. I have been looking into using the sst software, to see what effect it has on my game and machine, and to see if the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Am I correct in thinking that i need to assign a keyboad command to all the functions in game first, then using the sst software, assign these keys to the stick? I downloaded the il2 profile form the saitek webside and this is what it seemed to suggest. Cheers Colin.
  16. I can't believe I am going to post this, but here goes.... Should that not be a seafury?, rather than a seafire? yep your right mate.....Dohhh silly me
  17. this thread sickens me, there are OTHER games ?
  18. Chris, After trying your settings for a while, I decided to go back to all 100's and have found I am very happy with it.
  19. i have just made the exact same move Bucky. I have configured mine without the use of the sst software and, when i can get to fly, think it has made my flying smoooother.
  20. Hello, You should all be aware by now that I have just recently announced a new SEOW campaign. But what is "S.E.O.W" I hear you cry. This is an extended cop-op. The effects of one mission go on to effect the rest of the campaign. If you get killed then your side loses 1 plane from its stock for the rest of the campaign, which could last 6, 7 or more missions. Each mission lasts for 1 hour. We dont expect everyone to be there all the time, it would be nice, but we all know real life gets in the way of flying. There are a maximum of 16 slots per team for each mission. Thats 32 flyers in the air together!, how cool does that sound? We split the sides up onto differnt teamspeak channels. As a result you could cut the tension with a knife Icon settings are toned a bit to make spotting / recognition all the more important. The pressure turned up even more, whats that?, a dot?, is it closing?, have I got any friendlies nearby?, whats my altitude, should I dive away, has he seen me? oh, its a dead fly my kids squashed on the screen earlier. Team play is paramount, its the ideal place to really get to grips with being a wingman. So if you have not played before, head down to the Italy thread on the SEOW board and sign up. Friar.
  21. now that i find funny
  22. ahhh, yes, I sort of get it now, if you look at it as a forum thread......
