btw: if any of you can get your hands on the book: Malta Convoy by Shankland and Hunter, I highly, highly recommend it. All about Pedestal and my favourite US ship of all time, the Ohio (you can't help but to love this ship when you read all she and her crew went through) What an amazing story.

two quick ones: on the Automatic Updating from MS: ever run into a situation when you do the update, then reboot as required...then when the system comes up, there is another "auto update" yellow icon showing, letting you know there are updates ready? Got up this am, and found an update.

he went to save his trapped rear gunner...and finally gave up and jumped...his parachute alight... rear gunner lived in the crash landed Lanc. Part of Andrew's burnt chute is in the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa.
