Bucky, on my last build, about 7 months ago, I went with a Intel motherboard from ASUS. On such a board you can use either AMD or NVIDA for a graphics card. The CPU had to be Intel, but the graphics could be either manufacture, SLI or Crossfire didn't matter. So if you want to go with the 6970, your still able to use either type MoBo. This is what I'm using: ASUS P6X58D Premium MoBo Intel i7-920 CPU HIS Radeon 4890 Turbo+ GPU Mushkin Redline Memory 6GB Western Digital Hard Drives 300 & 74 GB Raptors Corsair 850HX PSU CoolerMaster Hyper 212 CPU Cooler Windows 7 Home Premium 64 I've got the itch again since you & BG started this, its a lot of fun to build yourself. I had someone that knew what they were doing watch over while I put it together, but have built two since. Not that hard mate.

I have had two Samsung monitors, what impressed me the most was their support when one started to go bad. Within a couple days a new monitor and the packaging to ship the troubled machine back. No Charge. I'll stay with Samsung for this reason alone.

What are you looking at spending this time Bucky? I looked on a site that rates GPUs and it wasn't shown, but I see them on NXIC and NewEgg for just under 100$ US. Same as Jabo, Creative Fatal1ty headset & Mic, Mark II series. I particularly like the way it completely covers the ear, a lot more comfortable. It came free with the Creative sound card.

Glad to hear all is well with yourself. I think BG was worried the protesters may get a hold of your game and he'll end up having to host again after evening prayer time.

I had to leave Coops early yesterday to watch the Green Bay Packers play the Pittsburgh Steelers for the 45 (XLV) Super Bowl. They didn't make it easy for the fans, became very close again at the end. All is well here in Wisconsin. I'm not sure if European football (soccer) have a team like Green Bay. The city is the smallest in the league, players live down the street from someone you know. It'll be a little warmer here for the next few months.

Bucky, The pedals are enroute. I've included the the disc that came with the pedals along with a "free" T-Shirt. There are also some stops that go behind the pedals to use them for a different purpose. Remove those to use as a/c pedals. Enjoy and give them time. Pooka

Bucky mate, Since I've went back to the twisty stick 111s are again falling from the sky. Its all packed up and waiting for a buyer, I thought I'd put a price on a post. I paid $125 USD, that included the shipping. I'm asking 75.00$ and I'll pay the postage again. Only used 9 times, just takes patients and coordination. Let me know. Pooka

While at the P O this morning I asked the lady at the window if you could ship alcohol through the mail in the US. She looked at me like I should know better than to ask such a foolish question. No way, and to boot, you can not even use a box that has pictures of alcoholic beverages on it, even when it contains other matters. So I'm not going to be the go between for Arthur and BGs scheme to ship high grade scotch into North America. You two will have to look for another way.

I just can't get used of these things and its taken away any enjoyment. I wasn't that good and now I'm worster. If anyone in the states on Canada would be interested, get in touch and we'll work out a price. Pooka

Thanks Gec, Reminded me of the old Burt Lancaster movie from the late 60s. He also used a wing, but not like these, in the end he thought he could fly and took it into the ground. I made two static line jumps along time ago, what surprised me the most was how quite it was when coming down, must be a rushing sound with the suits. Wouldn't have the nerve for this but it does look excillerating, is that a word.

As some of you are aware I've switched from the twisty to foot pedals. What an experience trying to taxi, still twisting and pushing, wasn't pretty. What settings do you use for the rudder with pedals ?? Thanks..Pooka

The US Marine Corps still flies the Harrier, and I don't know of any plans to discontinue. I saw where the UK moth-balled their only carrier and now the VSTOL, what is the British plan for the future in regards to a military? No disrespect implied... Pooka
