  4. Went into the settings at TS3, followed the microphone setup, and its all good to go. Not sure what changed it, but doesn't matter now that FT points me in the right direction. Thanks FT. Pooka
  5. Why Am I always posting in the HELP section> Yesterday I joined the DDz after activating TS3, asked FoolThrottle who was hosting and Zuti or not. He responded and I joined, Friar was hosting but soon switched hosts. Somewhere I lost TS, never changed any settings, except to remove Zuti for the new host, BG. I'm at a lose, all settings on the Sound Card are default, its worked fine for months, I even tried a different Headset w/ microphone. Pooka
  6. How does it go, "Britannia rules the waves...." Its a shame in deed. Pooka
  7. Thanks, enjoyed your photos over my morning cup of coffee in a warm house. Its a memory you can always recall and enjoy, after a while you'll forget how cold it was. Pooka
  8. Silence can be golden. Thanks Jedi... Pooka
  9. Hi Capt. I'm using the same motherboard and very pleased so far, the power supply is also the same brand and size. For memory went with Mushkin 6 GB and the CPU was Intel i7-920. Yours appears to be bigger (why am I always saying that) and its handled everything without a problem so far. I doubt you'll ever see a stutter with what you have. Pooka

    Will This Work ?

I'm sorry, I guess I wasn't to exact on what I'm trying to accomplish. Maybe I'll just get the new computer up and running, then stick one of her old HDs in it and Xfer what I want onto a flash drive. I also just remembered that I copied her system onto an external HD using "Macrium". I think it will be best and easiest just to transfer what I need after its up and running smoothly. I'm so confused, but I think I know how I want to do this. Again sorry I wasn't more specific on what I was trying to do, but I wasn't all that sure myself. We'll fly tomorrow and think about this on Wednesday. Pooka

    Will This Work ?

As some may recall, I attempted to move the insides of my daughters computer and screwed the whole thing up. I have started to put together a new box and loaned the wifes computer, (don't call it a box here) to the daughter and grandkids. My question, can I use the hard drives from daughters old machine and put them into my wifes? Daughters old computer was a Windows 7 upgrade, with a Gigabyte MoBO and Sempron 3000 CPU. It had two WD hard drives that I would like to put into a Windows 7 upgrade using an ASUS MoBO with an Athlon 3700+, 939 pin CPU. both ran ATI GPUs. They had different chipsets I'm sure. Is it possible to just switch hard drives and away you go again? Thanks for any help.. Pooka
  12. Some swabbie will be busy scraping off that warning. Pooka
  13. Yes it is FT, I had to answer your statement to keep up to you in posts. Pooka
  14. I went so far as to reinstall it in the old case, it fired but was slow again. Tried some new memory and it kept getting worse, got to the point it wouldn't even light up the monitor. So I broke out the wallet and bought just about a whole new system. CPU Intel i-5 650 LGA 1156 Dual core 3.2 GHz MoBo ASUS Sabretooth 55i P55 LGA 1156 ATX HD Western Digital 300Gb Raptor Memory Corsair XMS3 2x2Gb ASUS DVD Drive & Burner I have the new case and PSU and plan to put in an X850XT graphics card I used to use. Should keep the daughter and grandkids on the internet for a while. Just need to convince Windows to let me reinstall Windows 7, only used it for two weeks. Thanks for all the help and ideas, nice to have support and suggestions. Pooka
  15. It was mounted before on the rises of the back, when I put it in this time I used mounting screws. I'll check for any problems that may be behind the MoBo. Thanks, but I think I'll be getting a new MoBo and CPU and memory soon. Pooka
  16. I decided to put my daughters computer into a new case, give then more USB hockups etc. When I restarted the beast, I heard one long beep. The computer shop expert here claimed its a memory problem. Same beep code without any memory installed. Installed a new stick with one gig, fired it up, one short beep but the thing took 10 minutes to load. Moved the memory stick around and same situation. Tried just one stick of 512 and no help. Some of the compaciters (sp) are swollen but none have broke open as yet. This is a fairly old machine (see below) and the computer shop says to buy new MoBo, PCU and memory. This seems OK, but I just put in Windows 7 and MS Office and do not want to loose whats on the hard drives. Also just added a GPU, I think it was a HD 4850 or 3850 AGP card. This is whats inside now: Gigabyte K8VM800M Motherboard AMD Semperon 3000 CPU Any suggestions or recommendations on a replacement. Leaving things alone that aren't broken from now on....Pooka
  17. Very nice Kelly, the boys look rather awe struck meeting the leader of your country. Something they'll long remember I'm sure. Who will you have your picture with next?? Why do these famous people all travel to have their photograph taken with you?? Pooka Sorry I clicked on the small + - in the lower right corner of your post and now you have a -1. Didn't mean to diss you mate, didn't know what it was for.

  23. This has already went way over my head, but I checked and the memory I'm running is 1600Mhz too, 6-7-6-18, whatever that means. Pooka
  24. Hi Sid, I just rebuilt about three months ago and selected the ASUS P6X58D Premium. Its a socket 1366 and the one you link to is also a 1366, not a 775. I'm very satisfied, I went with an i7-920 CPU and 6GB of 998691 Mushkin memory. Since straightening out my problems with the router its been cruising along just fine. All settings in IL-2 are maxed, no stutters. I constructed it all myself, second build and it fit together with no glitches. Lots of room for the future with Sata 6 and USB 3 etc.... Pooka

Thanks Artie, Less than 100 miles from where I live and I've never been to the Air Show (EAA) Didn't see any Spits or Hurris like Duxford and I still think the "baddest" looking plane is an F-4 Phantom. Pooka
