  1. The next class is having its first gathering today , called SEPS, they explain what will come and make sure your computer is set up correctly. The first class will be Wednesday. I'll send a Email to Painless to see if he can find out if your in this class or the next.

Sent a message to Painless, I'm not sure he'll be able to find out ahead of time on who is in each class. If you just signed up a few days ago I doubt that they'd get you in this quick, I waited a month or longer.

Anyway he knows of this post and should get back to us soon.

  2. This new computer has a HIS HD6950 Turbo 2GB graphics card.

I'm not that familiar with this new a card, I'm using a 4890. Could someone that has a card in this generation, send me your settings that you use in the CCC.

    Thanks

  3. OK, I think I'm a little closer, no JSGME file in my current V4.10.1m

So what I need to know is where do I find the JSGME stuff. On my computer I have an old file UP201, might it be in there?

Hopefully in Coops today, someone will break through the blockage in my brain.

  4. Hi Mates,

A friend I was in the Marine Corps with and the person that introduced me to IL-2, commissioned myself to build him a computer that will fly IL-2 online with the Dogz. Should BG find him worthy.

I have a pure copy of 4.09 saved in a file by itself in the C drive.

I then took another pure 4.09, added the no crack mod and dled 4.10 patch, now when the game opens now it shows V4.10m, I'm guessing that I need to add the latest patch to get to V4.10.1m Next could you tell me what step I go through to get the JSGME Mod Enabler into the game?

Thanks for any help, here is what I put together:

    Cooler Master Sniper Case

    ASUS P67 Sabertooth motherboard

    Intel i5-2500K CPU

    HIS Radeon HD6950 Turbo GPU

    Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM

    Corsair HX850 PSU

WD 300 GB Raptor Hard Drive

    WD 750 GB Hard Drive

Windows 7 Premium 64 bit OS

Thanks for any help or suggestions...

  5. Bucky, on my last build, about 7 months ago, I went with a Intel motherboard from ASUS. On such a board you can use either AMD or NVIDA for a graphics card.

The CPU had to be Intel, but the graphics could be either manufacture, SLI or Crossfire didn't matter. So if you want to go with the 6970, your still able to use either type MoBo.

    This is what I'm using:

    ASUS P6X58D Premium MoBo

    Intel i7-920 CPU

    HIS Radeon 4890 Turbo+ GPU

    Mushkin Redline Memory 6GB

Western Digital Hard Drives 300 & 74 GB Raptors

    Corsair 850HX PSU

    CoolerMaster Hyper 212 CPU Cooler

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64

I've got the itch again since you & BG started this, its a lot of fun to build yourself. I had someone that knew what they were doing watch over while I put it together, but have built two since. Not that hard mate.

  6. I have had two Samsung monitors, what impressed me the most was their support when one started to go bad. Within a couple days a new monitor and the packaging to ship the troubled machine back. No Charge.

I'll stay with Samsung for this reason alone.

  7. I had to leave Coops early yesterday to watch the Green Bay Packers play the Pittsburgh Steelers for the 45 (XLV) Super Bowl.

They didn't make it easy for the fans, became very close again at the end. All is well here in Wisconsin. I'm not sure if European football (soccer) have a team like Green Bay. The city is the smallest in the league, players live down the street from someone you know.

It'll be a little warmer here for the next few months.

  8. Thanks for checking Friar, as I look out the window the sun is shinning and no wind. Temp is -14C

The storm is in the southern part of the state so we missed this blizzard. The radio stations in Milwaukee are telling everyone to stay home, all schools are closed etc..

  9. Monkey see, monkey do.

I had a crash to desktop and some graphic distortions since the new 4.10, so

I switched over to the Modded updater version also, will let you know this afternoon if I see a difference.

  10. Bucky, The pedals are enroute. I've included the the disc that came with the pedals along with a "free" T-Shirt. There are also some stops that go behind the pedals to use them for a different purpose. Remove those to use as a/c pedals.

Enjoy and give them time. Pooka
