  1. I've read of others having issues. Been a little smug because I have an nVidia card in my machine. Sadly two of the kids PCs are equipped with a 9800 Pro and a 9800XT. After the Cat 7.8 all newer drivers Disable Directx on these older cards!!! Took a lot of work to prove it to my self, doing the driver install/remove/clean dance on two PCs, and patience from the kids who couldn't play the Sims 2 or Command and Conquer games. What kind of company produces shite like that, such a fundamental bloody failure clearly showing lack of regard for 'legacy customers'. Disabling Directx for goodness sake, what the fuck are their quality assurance team doing?! They work fine on a 1950 Pro though, but that isn't the point. The AMD/ATI partnership seems to have lost the customer focus.
  2. Dumb fox, bloody thing isn't loaded
  3. And this may help: THE NEW HUSBAND STORE A store that sells new husbands has just opened in New York City, where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates: You may visit this store ONLY ONCE!
  4. ~S~ and Amen to that DT.
  5. My father-in-law sent it to me
  6. Bow Season approaching. THOUGHT YA'LL MIGHT NEED A LITTLE BOW HUNTIN' DEMO. Don't know if you were ever a bow hunter, but these two pictures demonstrate the correct posture for bow hunting. Picture one shows the proper extension of the front arm and the correct positioning of the release arm for a straight, true shot. Picture two shows the release arm placement from the rear, also demonstrating correct alignment of
  7. Gangus...RIP Died due to complications due to an aneurysm. Fantastic artist, the 'Moth wings and roundel' is my favourite.
  8. But but...that litlle icon I sweat blood and tears putting that in so you didn't have to type it! LOL, it is a mod and a good one...
  9. 7 Zip is an excellent fully featured FREE program that will do zips, rars and make tea. Well almost make tea...
  10. Never had an issue if this guidline is followed: 1. All accounts must have a password. 2. All accounts are identical on all machines, same name same password. 3. All machines need to be in the same workgroup, usually mshome by default IIRC, check that under the computer properties, network name section. Change if required and restart when prompted. Then when you log on to a machine with account and password, then map a drive/connect to a resource (printer etc) your account details are passed via SMB and you validate on the 'server' machine transparently. If you get prompted for a password then there is a mismatch in accounts. Firewall needs to be checked to to ensure it is allowing the traffic for resource sharing.
  11. Err... Make sure you have the same accounts and passwords on all systems, then all will be fine. Otherwise you'll get access denied because the guest account is disabled by default now, and should remain so. This includes printer sharing too .
  12. Granted, however they are all lesbians and suffer PMT badly, furthermore they buck the trend of synchronised periods and instead space it out over the month.. I wish teeth were self repairing making dentistry redundant, regardless of how many sweets or sodas I drink (I had to have a filling redone last week that cost me half a days pay grrr... ).
  13. If you are just copying files, and don't need/want your registry being gosh (bless me Friar)ed with then use Robocopy from the 2003 resource kit. It's a little complex on the switches, but if you post what you want to copy I could create a batch file. It is Robust (hence the Robo bit in it's name), will re-try if a file is in use, can write a log to confirm the operation and can also be used to mirror folders..ie remove a file from the source and it goes from the destination too. And it's free.. Oops..link is here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en WIKI here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robocopy
  14. Part two is going to be hilarious too! Great find and post Glenn!
  15. Congrats on number 2 C_G
  16. ~S~ to those that served, and heartfelt thanks.
  17. Now that is an 'Oh Crap!' moment...especially if you can also make out liberal use of gaffer tape. Wasn't a Nigerian airline was it, a charter flight to repatriate owners with their lost millions/bags?
  18. Happy Birthday Angus! :wav2:

    What a trip

Whups...that's what a two hour rush hour drive does after a long day.

    What a trip

You can do this two ways, full screen as they suggest then look away when instructed. Then try it again normal size, after 30 seconds or so look around the rest of the page. Now you know how I see life after a few whiskies .

  24. I'm simply too busy tying up loose ends getting ready to start work. Now that I'm coming out off retirement Let me get through the first week, and then I'll be reconditioned (and knackered) and able to report for duty. Having now determined that if I were to 'Let the train take the strain' I would have to leave the house at 06:00 in order to arrive at work by 09:00, and get home at around 20:00 If I drive and ignore the environment I can leave at around 07:15, and get home by 18:15. If I use my brothers Vrod (and yes he has offered and I'm very very tempted to take him up on it) then I can leave at 08:50, and be home by 17:10 (that really is a joke it may save me 20 mins or so). I'm looking at ST1100/ST1300 and RT1100 bikes at the moment too...
