  1. Past hour
  2. Running il2setup.exe and setting the screen resolution fixed the problem for Kopfdorfer. Wheels
  3. Lol, if you have such mastery with your gunnery skills that you can pick and choose where you are going to hit an enemy vehicle with your bullets and bombs so the pilot does not get killed I salute you again @Squee7e. In my case if I get bullets, bombs, or rockets on target it is practically a miracle so I have to be satisfied that I hit the target and hopefully got out of the engagement area before getting shot down or doing something else boneheaded that gets me killed. 😁 Wheels
  4. Today
  5. Despite reduced forces we still managed to gain ground and captured another FARP. Special for me as I think I had my first 1000 point night taking out the majority of a FARP (thanks to @BluBear for taking out the last two targets to enable it to then be captured), achieving a mission completed bonus and also doing some pilot CSAR.
  6. Last week
  7. I tried my best to not PK anyone 🙏
  8. This Saturday August 2nd is another Hangar talk and Flying event. The featured aircraft is going to be the OV-10. 9. Probably should have bailed... If you haven't guessed that mushroom cloud is me after trying to force a landing when I should have gone around or even smarter bailed once I got back over land. Congrats to @Squee7e for giving my only death for the session. Wheels
  10. a similar incident happened the last time we did this, maybe we say no bombs on fighters.
  11. If this really was on purpose it totally defeats the purpose of the whole event: Having fun Let's see what happens next time. I could totally understand if those that drive the tanks don't want to continue to play if the issue persists. Having to drive for vast distances just to get kamikaze'd before reaching the next flag is definitely nothing I'd put in the category of 'having fun'.
  12. Shame 352nd have not learnt from flying this sort of mission, they are making the same mistakes last night as they did more than a year ago when we did it the last time "sorry for crashing into one of your tanks, my controls locked up and I could not avoid it", sound familiar? Not good in my opinion.
  13. Earlier
  14. Seems like 2 huge egos, but I hope it ends well soon.
  15. I am to make the 3rd Thursday in the month, starting next month.
  16. @wingflyr You were missed last night Sir. Thank you for the heads up but it all went ok. I had uploaded the very latest version and enabled the splash feature as you suggested. It turned out to be too effective and the guys have requested I turn it off for next time. Other than that it all went ok with the usual smooth performance. The mission started just before dawn but with a small weather front that has moved in with light rain / snow showers in places across the map. Excellent work by myself (well I would say that) @delta7, @fruitbat, @BluBear, @DD_Fenrir and @PapaBear meant by the end of the night we had managed to make more good progress despite some stubborn SAM defences that kept getting repaired. Hopefully we will see a few more faces we are missing and would very much like to have join us next week ( @Squee7e, @Zukker, @Crash, @Squawk, @wingflyr of course) Salute Friar
  17. Sorry I missed today Friar. Hope DCS Foothold behaved for you today, apparently scripted mission are hit and miss with the latest update especially DML missions which Cfrag is quite upset about. If error occurs you have to add a script Autoexec.cfg to save games or Dedicated server, which my be a security risk if you use scripted missions. More about it down below link. Id thought Id let you know. Wingflyr Apparently they (ED) decided to incorporate Changes to the behaviour of net.dostring_in() which causes issues with missions. 18. Most of the posts in that thread you linked are from Ron from RAZBAM, and I'd take anything he's posted with a huge pinch of salt. I can only imagine how much his lawyers love that he keeps opening his mouth in the middle of the court case.
  19. It certainly doesn't read well at all. I've long been an admirer of TFC as a warbird collector, operator, airshow organiser and Nick Grey as a fine airshow pilot etc. But, the more you read about the dealings of ED, the more it sounds like he's a bit of an asshole businessman!
  20. Financially strained, seems a possibility, coming from this foul smelling news. Fingers crossed not the case.😦
  21. I was sad to read of the departure of The Fighter Collection's Corsair from Duxford this year after 30+ years in the UK, now heading to a new owner in the US. However, the warbird industry benefits from the back and forth of assets and a small consolation was the welcome addition of a Lysander project, that'll be three in the UK, a sight not seen for many years. That said, the recent news of TFC also selling their unique and lovely, super shiny P-36 and the continued silence around the future of Flying Legends, made me wonder if there's more going on here. Many are aware that DCS are in legal battles with some of their 3rd party developers, RAZBAM reportedly haven't been paid by ED for over a year. I didn't realise but apparently other Devs such as Heatblur also report not being paid on time. (For those that didn't know, Nick Grey of The Fighter Collection also owns Eagle Dynamics.) Now, I don't usually get involved in any of the DCS forum madness, but an aviation forum led me down this rabbit hole: Exploring The Dark Sides Of Digital Combat Simulator 🤯 Ultimately, I hope ED and the devs can sort all this out and TFC stop selling off aeroplanes!
  22. apologies colin. I didnt see posts earlier, it is attached as photo
  23. Just ordered one.
  24. have you fixed it your head-set, if so how?
  25. It is ,fits well and is wireless, only issue is I forget to switch it off after use so have bought rechargeable batteries for it
  26. That actually looks a nice idea, I dropped my lights to become wire free and went back to the clip,. The other version I had seen for this looked too bulky, but this looks quite neat.
