Sunflower Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 I found this reading the newsletter sent out by Sunbelt Software and thought it to be obscure enough, but possibly relevant when you least wish it to be: "If you use Ad-Aware by Lavasoft and it removes the spyware program wsaupdate.exe, you may not be able to log onto your XP computer because the spyware also makes a change to the registry that is not fixed by removing it. You can use the Recovery Console to fix the problem." http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892893/en-us Quote

Sunflower Posted October 31, 2006 Author Posted October 31, 2006 I find the number of "gotchas" with computers, at least when you're operating at my level of understanding, to be overwhelming. Quote
