gec
ther is a hard rock band in Croatia called Hladno pivo (cold beer) that i love very much. they have a song called "Waiter" the song is so great that i had to try to translate it to english and share it with you guys. it would be nice if it could be translated in proper english. Waiter by Hladno pivo Waiter yawning, out slowly dawning, Me, drunk like a camel, ordering one more a drink ... But what a disgrace, my tongue does everything wrong does not know how to say whiskey and beer, Fortunately he's not a schmuck that asks too much but smart Ober* who can read from my eyes all my pain, even if i haven't make a sound and puts on the table one more - the same. And that is the drop that spills the glass i'm crying like a waterfall while drawing from the bottle Why am I always the fucked party? why aren't you** on the other side of the bar? Why am I always the fucked party? Why the twin soul must always be male? when two man are so good together it is better than sex one hands the glass and the other swig's he is not stupid and he is not sparing he always pours the beer over the line He understands all my pain, although I did not nake a sound and puts on the table one more - the same. And that is the drop that spills the glass i'm crying like a waterfall while drawing from the bottle Why am I always the fucked party? why aren't you** on the other side of the bar? gec
Broken world full of broken people just medicating the pain.....your translation is just fine. actually from your post i can read that the translation is very bad the song is not in any way that deep hes whole pain is in fact that he's so drunk that he can't articulate hes order ( whiskey and beer) and he is so happy that the waiter is a smart guy who can read what he want's from hes drunken eyes that he is crying off happiness (drunkenness?). only thing that he is really sad or mad (from the refrain) is the fact that he is in better understanding with the waiter (the part where he compare's it with sex) than with hes girlfriend. this is actually a very happy song but poorly translated
BadAim
LOL. I guess we know where my mind is right now. Now I get it. This translation business must be tough. I have enough trouble translating English to American sometimes, I can only imagine how difficult it is with such different languages (what language is your native tongue by the way?) As for the Men-Women thing, that's just universal.......They're not like us, simple as that.
