T_O_A_D
Nice quality photo's. To think if we could find a pile of wrecks like that now laying around. What fun we'd have trying to make at least one good one.
Kimosabi
Oh I'd be all over that junkyard like a fly on a horseshit. After attending Funflaks P51 seminar over at JO I'm really starting to fancy that aircraft.
2. Administrators fruitbat Posted February 9, 2010 2. Administrators Share Posted February 9, 2010 great photos, thanks for posting the link. its amazing how many planes were written off in accidents, also amazing how quick the US built up the bases there. One of my favorites to fly (difficult, but fun)

BadAim
Some of the guy's were talking about the pictures of the tents with all the bodies around them. They look to me like Japanese soldiers, probably wounded that committed suicide with grenades rather than be captured, hence the mutilated bodies and the shrapnel holes in the tents. This was common practice in the pacific. Awesome photos.
