Snacko
I just logged onto TS3 and it said there was a new version.
1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted February 3, 2010 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted February 3, 2010 This is one issue with using a Beta... I'll get on to DarkStar and see what they can do.
1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted February 3, 2010 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted February 3, 2010 Raised a ticket, hopefully they will also answer with the port details we need for our server status page. If we can get the version of the server shown in the status, then we can use that to determine if we should update our TS3 clients. For now I would suggest: Do not update your TS3 client without first connecting to the TS3 server and checking the version (it shows in the right hand window - as of typing we are on Beta 15 and I was offered Beta 18 for my client). 1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted February 3, 2010 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted February 3, 2010 Our server is to be updated imminently. They were not aware of the permissions issue, but are now (this should not occur with all updates by the way). Got the query port details at last, so will now get our server firewall opened for it and fingers crossed the Comms page will once again work
2. Administrators Jabo Posted February 3, 2010 2. Administrators Share Posted February 3, 2010 Mine updated automatically last night and I connected without problems. Just saying. P.S. I'm using the 64 bit version - I suppose that might make a difference. Jabo
Snacko
I was using the 64bit as well.
T_O_A_D
Snacko are you using yours with push to talk? And are you using Globally or for you only? I'm trying to find someones Roaming folder to paste over mine. Mine won't assign the the left ALT key or any key for that matter. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v37/T_O_A_D/Computer/FolderOptions.jpg
Snacko
I use push to talk and have my right-alt key assigned. What does Globally mean? TS3Client.7z
T_O_A_D
Thanks, The Global thing is asked during install. If you have a roaming folder you didn't choose it. Global forces your settings on all users of your machine, IIRC. Your roaming folder works just like your C:\Documents and Settings\TOAD\Application Data\TS3Client folder does in Win XP I've actually drug folder from there to the Win 7 Roaming and carried over all my settings and history to Win7 from Winxp. It worked a treat for Mozilla, TS2, FSX, and not sure what else, since those are the three I've moved. I tried TS3 but I don't have a 64 bit Win XP version. Thanks off to try your files. T_O_A_D
Ok it worked a treat, I can now use your PTT key but still not able to reassign to the left. I had to change your screen name to mine, and change the avatar, and sound card it was using, but it works. There's more than one way to skin a cat. I posted this over at TS in my original thread over there. Now I need to figure out, how to get my Audigy2 to transmit clearer. I've install the latest drivers, so I'm not sure if I can fix that. T_O_A_D
Ok after getting the PTT to work. I've put a bit more effort into making my Sound quality better. I had to it set to this quality before, but after testing all the quality's available, It just started working on this one and above just fine. So hoping it sticks after a reboot. T_O_A_D
I got it working by editing these lines in this file to match the same file in my XP install. Not bad for a Dumb ole mechanic.
