Zooly
The program initially gives a correct reading of my CPU (a Phenom 9500 slightly overclocked) then both go down by half (both cpu speed and the multiplier), does anyone know why this would be happening? Blairgowrie
That happened to me when I was overclocking. Seems there is a setting in the bios that slows your computer right down when there there is no load on it. As soon as your start running something, away it goes. I can't remember what the bios setting is but I could do some searching if you want.
Zooly
I had an idea that might have been the case, thanks for the confirmation BG
Blairgowrie
OK just found the post where you can adjust your bios to turn off the power saving feature. http://www.dangerdogz.com/forums/index.php/topic,7236.45.html
