DoubleTap Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Any Battlestar Galactica fans here? Warning, possible spoiler alert! I am always a season or so behind, so I rely on DVD to see it when they come out. Quote
Jediteo Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 It got pretty messy, Pegasus takes place just after that ship arrives. Season 4 got a bit butchered by the WGA strike and some other problems. The ending was a bit dissappointing, but a good show nonetheless. Quote
gec Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 i was crazy about this series back in 80-es !! unfortunately our tv companies bought only one new season and put it in very late hours Quote
Tonar Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I was into it for a bit, but while renting the series I got mixed up and lost trck of where I was and got cornfused. Quote
T_O_A_D Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I lost track in the middle, then Scifi played all three seasons in one week, and I wore my VCR out, and spent the next month catching up. The ending works, but I too was dissapointed. Yeh lets go stuff them in an air lock. SO SAY WE ALL Were did you see the pilot Fireman? Quote
Fireman Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I lost track in the middle, then Scifi played all three seasons in one week, and I wore my VCR out, and spent the next month catching up. The ending works, but I too was dissapointed. Were did you see the pilot Fireman? that "planet of the apes finale" was not the finale....there are quite a few more episodes left after that. Quote
Strider Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Yeah, BG Rulz! Theme music is also cool, especially the drum part!!! Love those Sci-Fi Channel marathon days. Quote
Snacko Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I too watched about 1/2 this last season and got tired of it. Quote
Zooly Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I was an avid B5 fan and never missed an episode over the whole 5 year arc, I think that B5 was a benchmark not just for visuals but storytelling also. Quote

BadAim Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I was an avid B5 fan and never missed an episode over the whole 5 year arc, I think that B5 was a benchmark not just for visuals but storytelling also. I think I enjoyed the character development more than the base story, especially in the first couple of years. I'm still not sure about the last two years. The characters were awesome just the same. DoubleTap Posted May 21, 2009 Author Posted May 21, 2009 Okay, since there are others who watch the show here, I have to ask for opinions about something. Quote
T_O_A_D Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 It's a weird show and freaking twisted, in the way they handle allot of things. But remember who ends up God at the end, or at least the I interpreted it ended up God. Quote
Jediteo Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 The story did get out of hand after the second season, moving from a war in space into the more drama/moral/religous aspects. The writers dropped the ball in season 3. Quote
