I got out of the subway on my way home one evening when I heard a loud drone in the sky that didn't sound like the normal aircraft you hear go passed. When I looked up and located the source, it was a Ju-52 slowly crawling its way across the sky not far away from me and at about 500m above the River Danube. T_O_A_D Posted May 20, 2009 Report Share Posted May 20, 2009 Last year I had a Silver B-17 fly over my head by about 200 feet. I was at my daughters top level apartment in Kansas city. I was inside, I heard the unmistakable sound of the four engines, I ran to the sliding glass, fighting the three locks on it, and gout out on the deck just in time. No camera though.
