As Quazi can tell you, i have MISERABLE luck in the computer world. I had a virussomehow get on my computer and totally anhilate it. Even reformatting and using the recovery disks diid not work, as when I restarted it when instructed (3 times), all i got was a blank screen.

it really blow and most likely not from those at AAA but someone that hacked the DL site and got up on the DL feed. some people do need to be shot

I know this is an oldish post - but I only just noticed it! I just wanted to deplore your bad luck mate, and add my sympathies.

There are some disk-formatting utilities out there which work in pure DOS -

Before I went to SATA HDDs, I used to use a DOS boot disk I put together years ago which did things with fdisk and format commands as a pre-install prep. That doesn't work with SATA HDDs of course, so now I just exercise considerable caution before downloading anything.
