Fireman
I upgraded my AV software several weeks ago....(symantec's Norton AV) and have not been able to install it as of yet.
Rattler
I use AVG free...no problems here. Hope that you get satisfaction from Symantec, Andrew, and good luck! You'll need it.... [edit - actually, my ISP has a great anti-virus suite for free, Shaw Secure 2.0, based on F-Secure architecture. The AVG free are on the 2 laptops.]
1. DDz Quorum Friar Posted March 29, 2008 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted March 29, 2008 AVG comes highly reccommended you can get it from here.. http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/ I have used it for quite a few people and never had any problems with it. I got rid of Norton a few year ago and switched to a Zone Alarm Internet Suite. It uses less resources and has never given me any trouble. It updates itself every hour in normal mode. It comes with a "Game Mode" setting as well which is useful.
