We had about 14 pilots from the DD's and the Irish eventually agreed to join us but the high pings ate us alive; possibly caused by 2 of our guests with dial up connections. We had pissed around for so long waiting for them to get organised that we decided to fly on our own server. We stayed on the Irish TS server in case some more DD's showed up and couldn't find us. At least the DD's all showed up on time and were prepared to do battle. We have had other joint meetings in the past with various groups and all have gone well. Very disappointing experience. delta7 Posted April 10, 2006 Share Posted April 10, 2006 I hope that we keep in touch with FI as I have never had a chance to fly with these guys and like the variety when others join in - the joints ops guys for example are a good bunch. It does make it difficult for the host as he has to ensure good missions with sufficient plane choice when large numbers turn up but weve not had a problem in the past . There was a very good turn out last night and the pings settled down after the first co-op so hopefully we wont ever have to restrict numbers. thanks for your efforts in trying to get it sorted out Jim and hopefully the next meet will be a sucess.
