What card have you got? Not that it makes much difference because modern cards munch IL2 for breakfast. Can't do Clod though mate.

Someone is bound to say different but these settings have worked well for me for years on cards from the old 6600GTX (the first card I could max it out on!!) up to the 970 I am using now.

These NVIDIA settings are the ones you need to think about as the rest can be left as default as they have little or no impact on IL2:

Anisotropic filtering = 16x

Antialiasing - Mode = override application setting

Antialiasing setting = 8x on big screens or x16 if you are running a resolution like 1920 x 1200

Antialiasing - Transparency = Off

Multi-display/mixed GPU = Single display

Power management mode = Prefer maximum performance

Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample optimisation = Off

Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias = Clamp

Texture filtering - Quality = Quality

Threaded optimisation = Off

Triple buffering = On

Vertical sync = On

Make sure your game resolution is the same as your screen resolution.

Doh....don't read briefs so why read headers.....

No worries mate, lol. A bit tricky this is. All my settings are in Swedish. I suppose "Antialiasing" is: "Kantutjämning", right? Gaahh..

Hey Swep.

There is a little mission you can load into CloD called "contact spotting" to help you sort out your settings to see how far away you can see enemy planes.

As soon as the mission loads you pause the game and then look for contacts. There are 16 planes, each 1km farther away than the last.

Aside from the NVIDIA settings where I can see the first 9 or 10 adjusting the gamma gives me a couple more but makes the scenery a bit darker.
