Okie
Very nice machine Klinger. The march of technology has finally caught up with this game. Kelly, 1280x960 here
1. DDz Quorum Pooka Posted December 25, 2006 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted December 25, 2006 I'm at 1024 x 768, what would be the advantages to be at a different size? Pooka
Klinger
Ok Jensen and GP. If we're gonna play graphical poker, I'll see your 1280x960. Don't think my monitor will take much more. Pooka, I think the higher the numbers, the denser the picture. Going from 1024x768 to 1152x864 = big difference, less cartoonish.
delta7
the native resolution on my lcd is 1280*1024 and everything looks nice and detailed at this, however the game was set up and optimised at 1024*768 and I find that I can see the dots and aircraft better at this resolution , as klinger says the iq isnt as good overall but Ill put up with this for the benifits of spotting the bandits better. Shadow
Native on mine is 1920x1200 but my frame rates suffer a little at that one. Off line I play at 1680x1050 and on line at 1440x900 Since I have vsync enabled (A must have with TrackIR), my frame rates never exceed 60fps (standard LCD refresh rate/60 hertz). 1. DDz Quorum Friar Posted December 27, 2006 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted December 27, 2006 why is it a must for vsync enable for track ir. the graphics tweaks say to not enable it. signed confused of croydon
Okie
With Vsync not enabled using track ir there would be a tearing effect when moving the view around. Kind of creating large broken lines horizontally across the screen is the best way I can describe it. I'm using the Track ir 2 model and find this to be true. Newer versions (3,4) are faster and may not produce this effect thow. Not sure on that. Hope that helps. GP
delta7
garypuddle is right - TIR4 can just about run without v-sync but still can get some tearing - its up to user - FPS or IQ mates
BBloke
I'm at 1280x960 as of yesterday with Vsync off.
