OverDhill
Some say it is fake... maybe so but if it is it was a good edit What is your take?
1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted August 3, 2014 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted August 3, 2014 Well, if one would state it's a real full size airplane with a pilot in it that lost its wing and still landed, then yes,it's a fake. Anyways, very cool video to watch ...

BluBear
Fake, although one could say inspired by a true story... Zlin wing Structural Failure Report - Neil Williams http://www.aerobatics.org.uk/repeats/zlin_wing_failure.htm
2. Administrators Jabo Posted August 4, 2014 2. Administrators Share Posted August 4, 2014 It never fails to amaze me how pilots seem to be able to ride out this sort of situation with aplomb. Although that might be because the ones who panic are dead. Thanks for that article Chris!
1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted August 4, 2014 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted August 4, 2014 What a story! "(...) The ability to fly over an airfield with crash facilities is absolutely essential. (...)" lol... so ... "dry" !

Kira
Keep in mind with the OP, it's no "ordinary" airplane. This is a high performance (wayyy high performance by the legal definition) aerobatic aircraft, with "just enough wing to get the engine off the ground" so to speak. Point is, it's all engine. Of course you can hang it on its prop with that many horses under the hood. It's managing the torque that's the trick. A bit of debunking. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvBep7-gi5s#t=
