Actually it's quite easy when you know how!

First step is to download a free utility called 'junction' from:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysint ... ction.mspx

I have attached it for your convenience :)

Place junction.exe in c:\windows

Start a command prompt (start->run 'cmd').

In command prompt type:

junction name of folder you want redirected name of folder to redirect to.

For example: (my junction.exe is in the root of c:\ if yours is in windows you should not need to specify the windows path bit)

C:\Documents and Settings\roger.IBM>c:\junction "c:\program files\test" d:\

Junction v1.04 - Windows junction creator and reparse point viewer

Copyright © 2000-2005 Mark Russinovich

Systems Internals - http://www.sysinternals.com

Created: c:\program files\test

Targetted at: d:\

Now when I dir on c:\program files\test I get the contents of my CD drive listed.

The machine I am on is an 8 yr old laptop with a single disk, it is running XP home so this will work on all XP versions!

Sorry it took so long to respond, been very busy.
