“put jet fighter lock-and-launch technology into a firing system.”

The system uses a conventional gun and ammunition, but combines them with a Intelligent Digital Tracking Scope and a guided trigger. The technology doesn’t let you fire until the shot is spot on. “You don’t have to be an experienced shooter,”

That might be alright for snipers, but for normal soldiers, I'd be a bit concerned about having software that prevents me from firing unless the shot was perfect. There are just too many strong cases in modern warfare for quick suppressive fire.

But, they are working on that as well.

You basically have a red dot sight that appears on a HUD display on your goggles. You put the sight on the target and squeeze the trigger. Anyone person who has spent time playing video games will instinctively know how to use it.

They should make one that tilts the barrel and firing assembly according ton the target movement and all you need to do is pull the trigger. And then you hit a sparrow on the tree and the real target shoots you.
