  1. I may be missing something, but can these not be added on to the next AAR? Or do EA actually have to be destroyed in a mission in order to make a claim against it?
  2. Created in Photoshop using the two official PSDs (rgb and alpha) and exported using the appropriate DDS plugin that GBS uses. Sidly took care of the 485th skins though, so you may want to tap him up old chap.
  3. Usually, FT is kind enough to add to the skault for those using chkskins. I think that's how it works. I believe, with the exception of my new one and T-bones, I uploaded everybody's 402 skins to the skins area and also in this thread. With regards to T-bone, not sure he actually officially released his skin, I have it because I created it to begin with but passed over the working files for him to finish.
  4. Another crazy Irish-American reporting for duty in the 402nd, introducing: Patrick Last Updated skin for download attached here chaps. 402nd__E6_B_BluBear.dds
  5. Some aircraft attendee news, could make for the rare sight of T-bolt old and new! Can't remember the last time I saw an A-10.
  6. Some further gun-cam footage of the last mission flown to whet your appetites for tomorrow gentlemen. Illustrating perfectly just how terrible my gunnery can be against such a huge lumbering easy target!
  7. Nailed by quadruple A? That must have been awful, triple A is bad enough. 🙈
  8. Could be worth a look: https://www.microprose.com/games/the-mighty-eighth# Although, a multi-crew DCS B-17 would be preferable...
  9. To whet everyone's appetite once again for tomorrow's instalment, here's another little movie of a close call a couple of missions ago.
  10. Thanks Col, that was a great deal of fun! The ground/air coordination added a challenging element and I think the capture the flag objective worked just right. You evidently put a lot of effort into this and it paid off, kudos to you sir. I look forward to the next one. I just wish I'd recorded the moment I flew under the bridge in a 110 as a Sherman crossed overhead. 😄
  11. Looks like I missed an action packed mission. Did it 'take'? If so, RIP 1Lt Fesser and 2Lt Zook 😔
  12. I'll be giving this one a miss gents, it's the young man's birthday weekend and we're working our way through the last four James Bond films in the absence of being able to do much else in lockdown! Best of luck to you all, give'm hell.
  13. Great Scott, that is beautiful
  14. Blimey. I do feel for the TFS guys, it obviously took dedication and a great deal of hard work, but in the end it took so long to release that most have moved on. I wonder how many fly campaign/single player? I may still try it, sometime...
  15. YES! There is a small museum on site I believe?
  16. Yeah, I am worried abut that...
  17. That'll do nicely That'll do nicely
  18. Good find there chaps! I've just booked the last twin room at that price. Twin rooms are still available but now listed at £150 for two nights. I'll keep the reservation at Corby for the time being as an insurance policy.
  19. To my knowledge there are currently only three genuine Bf-109s with DB engines, maintained to an airworthy state. Two are Emils, one with the FHCAM museum in Seattle (which is temporarily closed) and the other with the Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar which has yet to make it outside the airfield's airspace in the 4/5 years it's been over here. Also In the USA The MAM in Virginia Beach operate a G-4 that was restored by Meier Motors in Germany a couple of years ago, I believe the number of original parts may be minimal and it flies with a later G-model lower cowling, but is still classed as an original 109. There is also a genuine Spanish Civil War 109E-1 under restoration in Germany for a UK customer that will certainly be something to see when finished. As Arthur and Nick confirm, there are a number of Buchons converted to Gustav models that are airworthy or undergoing maintenance/restoration. In Germany: The Hangar10 collection on the island of Usedom operate a G-6, a merlin powered two seat G-12 (that has flown with a DB) and a G-14. The EADS Messerschmitt Flugmuseum operate a G-4 (Red 7 that visited Duxford in 2015) and a G-10, both of which are undergoing maintenance. Their G-6 was also recently fully overhauled. Hope that helps.
