    Dead Rig

Sounds Dead If it wasn't so hot I'd get in the attic and test an old one just for clarification, I keep old stuff just for testing https://www.techdim.com/test-computer-power-supply/
  2. I'm sure! Thus the reason I won't go in below the standard I want, I already have way to many interest to afford. LOL
  3. Head gear or not your still mortal LOL

    Dead Rig

No need in typing a long explanation. Just Google how to diagnose a psu if you have a meter or can get one you can get your answer soon enough. I'm guessing you have no lights on the MOBO or fans turning on the in the case, PSU, gpu, old spinner drives spooling up etc?
  5. LOL figures a Dog sticks his head out of a moving vehicle, lucky your VR gear didn't get ripped right off your face LOL

    How to use GIMP

None here as far as I know, I'm just starting to use it as well. Adobe PS is the main course, I can't find my old version, and may breakdown and buy a new one.
  7. I fully understand that it was no sales pitch Mayhem, and my opinion is by no means telling folks not to do it Crash it is just the reasons that I am not. As for hardware, what we have already was rocket science when I started all this in 98 and totally UN-affordable, by the time the hardware does as I wish for, I'll be completely debt free and I'll make myself afford it, maybe LOL Oh and cudo's to all willing to beta test it till then! DSC is the most I'm willing to pay yo beta test anymore, and it irritates me. LOL I did enough of it officially for free for Oleg years ago.
  8. I'm not going VR anytime soon if ever. I may try it someday, if the resolution equals 4k, and it can track all my movement down to my feet and fingers for interactive cockpits. Then and only then will I entertain the thought, and I'll keep entertaining the thought till I feel it's a value. A monitor can be shared and utilized as a TV, so it even on the high end is twice the working value of a VR headset. Besides I know of too many that have and still fall back the the monitor most of the time or all together and sold out of the VR. Motion sickness is a risk, is it worth the lost capital to find out you will just end up puking after you hemorrhage the wallet to boot LOL
  9. If it works out like when I move, yo will find stuff for months if not years later. This last move I threw it out and crammed it in, and left a lot of of it boxed for months due to remodeling. I'm still discovering stuff in my shop LOL
  10. Heck of a day! Real life comes first, get moved in and settled, Make sure the Fam is to, then the PC stuff can come in afterwards. One of the biggest reasons I shut down the 131st was because I had let it get out in front of the Family. Happy Wife Happy Life really isn't a Joke LOL
  11. ditto I sure hope She's more fun than that other British Bitch I slept with LOL
  12. I can't I don't have that, but did you notice how much the tree trunks bend in the breeze LOL
  13. Inside Joke, not at your expense 😁
  14. Just wondering is the Daughter the same one that thought her PC was possessed, when you had her grounded from it, and you had me remotely setting up a IL2 server or FTP can't remember. It was in her room and you were downstairs on your PC LOL Yep, we sold two homes to get to this one and be paid off. The one her local we sold to get into this house and used our capital for a large down payment, then this summer I while the market was up I sold my rental that I used to live in down in Missouri. When I moved out the 8 years ago the market had it at 65k this summer I sold it for 165k crazy times. This house we picked it because of the rich black dirt in the yard, for the garden, a 30x40 pole barn for my other interest Hunting fishing equipment and mechanics stuff. The house has a basement to run from storms and the heat outside. I had to gut it and re-due the entire thing. In the middle of remodeling the master bath too, the entire house had nearly been gone through by us, the kitchen will be next year. The convenience s nice small burb, corn field across the street, on mile from the bypass, and 7 minutes from work. I made 7 quarts of dill pickles the other day. Today the weather cooled off 20 degrees and humidity dropped so I spent the last 4 hours in the garden, picking and weeding. I trimmed one of the tomato bushes back thus the reason for so many little green ones, but they will get ripe on their own. 20210812_153911.mp4
  15. Good looking place! How big is your lot, we have just under an acre and it's more than enough to take care of. Oh and having your home free an clear is a awesome feeling isn't it? Congrats on that, I've managed it three times now, and this will most likely be our last home.
  16. Tonight just before dark it cooled off enough to pick some of the garden. I didn't even get half way done. It went off the last few days.
  17. I'm available if it's not to late o add me, I just walked back in the door after a morning of chasing the misses around town.

    Dogz time

    From the album: Cockpit area

We picked this up awhile back used, off the market place. I set NY to Chicago time since I'm in CST, I've been thinking of scanning the backing and photo shopping it to read Chicago, or Davenport where I live. And taking Paris time and change it to Melbourne

  21. I just stumbled on this page OMG loads of info well above my understanding. https://imgur.com/a/fEqK2
  22. Unlikely for me my PT is scheduled for 2pm CST I put int a call to to go in early if someone cancels
  23. That looks great, leave it hollow down the middle for sticks that can easily be wired into the FFB boards, and a hole at 12OC to allow a way to move the wires out and into some other joystick base or board etc. Like the SOP Grip guys did, allowing the Saitek, Virpl and Warthog adapter to be used. You could easily add a stem on top to for correct size fit for a stick to avoid what FT and I did to make our handles fit over the 14mm shaft of the FFB. The CH is 12.55mm Diameter x 39.50 Long shaft with raised alignment guide 2.29mm raised x 2.24mm wide But I won't be needing that no more, since I already bored my handle out to the 14mm But the other version once I get my hands one one of those sticks and base with the paddle, and extra hats on them I'll be after it for certain. https://www.techinn.com/en/thrustmaster-f-a-18c-hornet-hotas-pc-add-on-joystick/137477011/p So we have a bit of restless time on our hands, unless one of the other Blokes here is already at the point to mod one of those stick to a FFB without destroying anything. I want those controls, and FFB or be dammed LOL
  24. I have the wood working tools. But none of the rest, one thing that I've always thought the High Schools should do is open up their industrial art shops over the summer breaks, so we adults could come back and utilize them. We pay the taxes and would gladly pay a user fee I'm sure. I miss those classes.
