I can't say much about the X52, other than they decided to replace the X45 with it. I have had the 45 for about 7 years now. No problems, all though I only really use the throttle. I fly with a Microsoft force feedback and only use the x45 stick as a button bay, only controls on it are bail out, bombsite stuff, drop tanks, hook, canopy, ---------- If it craps out, I'll probably just buy a CH throttle, and use my nostromo pad then for a button bay.

Well alrighty then. A game server can be any of your old rigs that you have passed down to upgrade to what you have today. Graphics is a none issure, the game is nothing but computer language back and forth, any graphics will do. You will be serving the game in a Dos format, or with a GUI like Server Commander or the new unreleased FBD, you can still use the old FBD but IMO its a PIA. In Dogfight Mode. When mine is up and running I actually access it remote desktop. In coop mode it does require a bit of graphics since the game has to run just like normal, from a installed game from disc or download. You will also have to click all the buttons, and pick the missions as normal when you host a coop, on your normal gaming machine. But you can tweak the conf.ini to force the game into a small window, and turn the games graphics all the way down to free up resourses, and it will host almost as good as the Dedicated Server does for dogfight. Now there is a prog that you will have to get permission to recieve that will allow coop via GUI I was signed up to get it once, filled out the waver and all, but ran short on available time due to work and I never pursude it anyfurther. rnzoli is the developer of it. I've flown on a few and they seem to work fine. http://web.t-online.hu/rnzoli/IL2DSC/intro-coop.html http://web.t-online.hu/rnzoli/IL2DSC/status-kadin.html http://web.t-online.hu/rnzoli/IL2DSC/st ... kadin.html I was going to take campaigns and convert them over to roll in consecutive time line. Like WTCF with permission of course. My Server could easily host 50 players, if it had a better connection Im almost sure of it, during play of 20+ I never saw my resourses run over 50%, but my internet connection, was 100% though I have cable 5000/500 So if any of you have a better hard line connection, then there is a real possibility here, I have yet to play on a wireless, connection that stays stable, no matter its strenght. My server had AMD1900+ 2 gigs 3500 ram ATI 9800 4 IDE hard drives Asus Mobo don't recall the model off me head Edit I see Rico beet me to some of it. The KV switch is also handy, I have one on my gameing machine, since I have a printer server for the house in the same desk, that shares the keybourd, mouse, monitor. The only reason to have a true server/rack is for a business, with lots of satalite machines, and a IT department to fiddle with. Or actually rent one from some service out there, to host your games on, but that terribly expensive. Having a T1 connection at home is expensive too, (probably required) but if you do, or you own a business, that has it, and a place to put a gaming server in, via a rack type or home built in a pc case, a small monthly dues from players if even required, can keep one going fairly cheap.

Shayd This is what I'm getting with XPpro -
Well I live near Springfield Mo. on I-44 and if we were to camp, and car pool, from here, I can supply a truck and some camping equipment, I no longer have a tent, but most everything else. Well I have a truck as long as I keep making the payments. 5 guys could fit 4 comfortably. I hardly drive it, and it has just barley 10K on it, and will have barley more than then by then too. Should be quite dependable, and it avrages around 17 mpg per tank, highway/city combined.

I calibrate my X-45 and it should work on the x-52, by only moving the throttle about 80% of its actual movement. This forces the software to be more responsive, and no matter what, it will read 110% in game since I can move the pots past the calibration point.

I had plans of going this year till I lost my job back at Christmas, and took a $16,000 paycut, two kids in college, and left paying a $560.00 truck payment the Company was doing for me. But now that I'm out of management after 15 years and back to being a Technician, I am a whole lot happier, and its like a working Vacation compared. Guess what you can't get rid of a 2007 Z71 Silverado Crew cab now days. If I can get things turned around I would love to go next year for sure.

Still works the same way, do you actually see the MK1 in game, if not use the aircraft installer, to activate it. C:\Program files\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\PaintSchemes\Skins\SpitfireMk1 G:\HACK\PaintSchemes\Skins\SpitfireMk1
-
same as old way I think, atleast thats what I did. Find the right aircraft in your painscheme folder and drop in the correct skin. Stock Install C:\Program files\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\PaintSchemes\Skins\P-51 (or what ever one it is) Or like mine in a custom location. G:\Games\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\PaintSchemes\Skins\A6M7_Model62

The forum its in is locked, so I can't direct link to it, but here is a bit to wet your mouth from it. Excerpts from the book, "Herky - Memoirs of a Checkertail Ace" [Herky speaks on the Stagnone Raid] The 1st of June found me in the air again as 36 P-40's headed for the Stagnone Seaplane Base in Sicily. I led the 317th Squadron, flying top-cover for the other squadrons as the strafed the base. The attacking planes came in on the deck by flights of four an popped over the sea wall that protected the anchorage from the open sea before anyone on the ground knew what was happening. The Group also strafed four vessels in the outer harbor as it withdrew from the seaplane anchorage. He said in a news release: "We just snuck up in on them before anyone was up moving around and got out before they knew what hit them". Lt. Rayburn D. Lancaster of Stephenville, Texas, who left two burning, compared it with "running the hurdles in a track meet". Lt. Herbert W. Andridge of Pittsford, Michigan, averred, "We really caught them asleep --- that is all except one who was taxiing to take off, but never made it because Collins and I let him have it. "And besides, that one that was moving," "Spot" Collins added, "there were three more and we hit everyone of them." [Herky] I had a great view of the fracas below from our top-cover position. I saw fire after fire spring up, just as if someone were lighting bonfires. Some large fires also broke out on the boats which were strafed on the way out. Filming will be done on the custom mod map vol_ItalyAfricaGreeceMapInstall If you have previously installed the ItalyAfricaGreece map you do not need to do not anything special.
