  1. An interesting take on an actual raid very early in the Battle. I'll have to check the diary for the date, but there was an unescorted raid by Heinkels which incurred so many losses that it effectively removed that Luftflotte from the order of battle for most of the rest of the summer. Brilliant score to that film, I have part of it on my iPod. Jabo
  2. Never been seen in same room at the same time though...Hmm
  3. +1 (can't mod your post Colin, sorry) - On a(nother) separate install
  4. Alternatively, right-click il2fb.exe in your 4.09 game folder, select 'send to' from the drop-down menu, then select 'desktop (create shortcut)' - you will then have an icon on your desktop called 'Shortcut to il2fb.exe'. Double-clck that and you're away. If you wish, you can then remane the icon IL2 - 4.09 or something else meaningful, so you can keep track of the different versions. That will have no effect on il2fb.exe as you're only renaming the icon not the file it points to. This is what mine looks like (as an example, nothing more). As you can see, I have three installations in use now, the SAS-modded version (using the AAA switcher), the normal AAA version for use on co-op or seow nights, plus (now) a 4.09 version of the game, but no switcher, so it's the old icon
  5. There's definitely a word to describe people like you FT ol' pal. Six is plenty for the likes of a simpleton such as I. It does work though, so that's nice. Although I seem to have lost the furry end from my headset mike
  6. Thanks FT & Friar, just in the, ahem, Nick of time as I've just completed patching 4.08 to 4.09 Jabo P.S. This may be getting out of hand as I now have SIX separate installations of the game sat on my HDD
  7. I too have managed to download said patch (a 500Mb 'patch' - more like a whole new game.) and am just installng a new, clean version of the game as I type. Thanks again to all involved. Jabo P.S. *** Dumb Question Alert ***
  8. Naturally, although not a lot of people know that... Sorry Jabo
  9. Quite right Arthur, I agree. Downloading now - gives me 48hrs to put my installation right before Ped on Sunday. Jabo
  10. Ah yes, the Folland Gnat - smashing little plane - there's one at my local air museum - minus the wings for now, but we live in hope.
  11. Ouch, not fun m8, but it sounds like your supplier is doing the biz for you. Try completely uninstalling the gfx drivers and then reinstalling to see if that improves your boot time. No guarantees, but it might help. Jabo
  12. I have an inkling that Joan Collins might be a better bet than the current lot. Labour really need to do something and soon to have any chance at the next election. Me, I'll be voting for the Monster Raving Loony Party, same as always. Jabo
  13. Total whacko. But he's sitting on loads of oil, so that's OK. Jabo
  14. I quite agree, sole survivors should be grounded as a matter of course. Too many unique airframes have been lost that way. Jabo
  15. You sure are living in an interesting place m8. Must go take it in sometime. Jabo
  16. Oh good, more TeamSpeak rules... Nice work CJG Jabo
  17. Not sure about this Enforcer - The Flug-Werke guys do have a 'Dora' version, but I think the one in the video may be the only extant example with the original engine. I know there's one lurking Stateside, although I'm not sure where (possibly owned by that guy who used to part own MS with Billy G). Since the FW aircraft use modern engines, they have electric starters. Dear old Black 6 in the second video also had an original engine, hence the requirement to 'wind it up'. Such a shame to see her consigned to Hendon after the CAA numptys withdrew her C of A after a fairly minor landing accident a few years back. A genuine combat vet 109. Criminal really. Jabo
  18. Indeed, happy anniversary OT.
  19. Sorry Smash m8, but just think of all the cool toys you can have in game when your computer's sorted! Jabo

    lol Just guess

obviously from the same dictionary that doesn't have a definition for 'gullible'
  21. At this I know but I still believe in the tooth fairy. Maybe tomorrow? At this rate I'll be running out of teeth. Jabo
