    Aaaach!

After DCS cocked up my stick and I had to restart my computer, I uninstalled it. I have plenty of dissipation in my life anyway.

    Aaaach!

So far my experience with DCS is that it is a massive pig. I think I will await the delivery of my Kray supercomputer before wasting any more time on it, unless anyone has any tips on curbing the five minute load times. Soooooooo frustrating.
  3. The menus flash by so fast that you can barely see them let alone read. The "flow chart" is a handy quick reference though.
  4. Damn! You'd have a hard time finding a scenario where a helicopter was much of an improvement. And at what a quarter of the operating costs? Sweet.
  5. I've just posted my new profile for Il2 4.12, it includes all of the new A.I. commands for 4.12. This profile is set up to allow you to press one button and simply say your command, just like your radioing your squad mates with instructions. I've included a flow chart like list of commands for reference and the entire list of commands as provided by the program itself, one copy has notes from me in the third column, and a second "clean" copy with that space clear for your own notes. The list of all commands produced by VAC is pretty hard to read, so it's way easier to just open the profile in VAC itself and view it that way to familiarize yourself with how it works. There you can also tweak the activation phrases yourself. Some of the commands have extra activation phrases to cover common mistakes or to simply make the commands more natural. E.G. "Attack vehicles" can be activated by also saying "Attack cars" or "Attack trucks". You could easily add "Attack Lorries" by simply typing it into the appropriate box. VAC uses Microsoft's voice recognition which is W7 is very good so no voice training is necessary. Enjoy P.S. VAC can be found here http://www.dwvac.com/ It has a 30 day trial, and it costs only $18 and free upgrades for life (I've had it for several years and have had no trouble) P.P.S. I've been working on the "Squadron Surrender" command for French Air Force scenarios, but have had no luck. I will keep you all apprized of my progress. P.P.P.S. Oh, yeah. It's in the Vault under "Utilities"

    Saitek X55 Rhino?

That thing is BEGGING for an extension kit! As a matter of fact it sure does look like it was specifically designed for one, dunnit? If it's as good as it looks, I'll be gunning for one. (eventually )

    Phantom 'vandy 1'

I've seen guys use jewelers rouge to spectacular effect. I particularly remember a 1/32 Storch that really had glass that looked like glass. I suspect that it was much more work than I'd be willing to do............
  8. I wish to add a huge +1 to that! I love ethnicity, and all of the things it brings to that table when men share time together. We may have many kinds of beer, but we all drink beer, our mother's cooked different kinds of food, but we all love our mothers and we certainly love food! From the edge of the pacific ocean, to the edge of the arctic circle, to the other side of the iron curtain, I wish ALL of my friends a Merry Christmas!!!!!!
  9. Merry Christmas and a happy New year to all of my friends! In good times and in bad, Youse guys are always here for me and for everyone! Three cheers for the Danger Dogz!
  10. Brilliant! It's amazing how few there were, and how important they were.
  11. Yeah, things like eating, having shelter and taking care of your family can all take a back seat to your mission building responsibilities. As for the reminding about template saving thing NP I only have myself to judge from and I do it every stinking time! The course plotting looks simply mind boggling to me! We definitely need shipping AI with more I and less A. I'm actually looking forward to this mission just to witness it's grandeur!
  12. Very clever! I highly recommend that you save the mission once you're done with the convoy it's self, so that you can use the template for any other convoy based missions you might come up with in the future. Have you figured out how to make the destroyers circle?
  13. At least you've figured out how to get rid of those pesky vowels! (Of course the B.C. Jews had that down, but that only makes you 2000 years late......)
  14. We're going to start running out of keys and shit.
  15. I'm certainly going to wait now, but I'm encouraged by the reports, It looks like this will be very much worthwhile.
  16. I was fortunate in being able to spend some time with my mother near the end, to mend some fences and tell her I loved her. It was a gift from God. Don't waste a minute guys, not a single one. P.S. Pass along my sympathies to Pete, Mick. I am freshly familiar with his pain.
  17. Methinks the "Italian Job" route ain't gonna work so well.
  18. Sweper FTW! On to you........
  19. Sorry! I purpously named it that to mislead you. Muahahahahah, you've fallen into my trap Mr. Sid!
