They are still working on it. Didn't help that they emailed me, using an email address associated with another hosting account I had here that had expired. Hosting company has really dropped the ball there, it was a reseller account and they failed to send out a reminder and just cut it off! No great loss, I intended to drop it any way but... As for perfesser, I guess he was using the old front page to find his way here. Switching it back on now.

I had to clear my cache just now, I think that is a must because there is new java script, plus styling has changed too. Quick reply now works, and I was able to switch to full editor. Please try that and report back, and check out my profile

Can I have specifics please? Difficult to raise this as an issue if I cannot replicate. Also, please tell me which skin you are using too. I know there are some issues besides this, and still waiting for a response from InvisionPower Services.

I see that, if you look at your post here: on our test boards It works. This is the maddening thing, except for it having newer posts that board is identical to here, and it is running 3.1 no problem! I have asked what would be required to copy all files (except our downloads and gallery of course) and database entries from the test site to here. No response yet, I guess they are very busy now with others having upgraded too. Sessions seem to time out a bit quickly here too, I found myself logged out again after being on another site..

OK I finally got kicked too, so I'll take it seriously now There was a link up top 'DangerDogz' that would take you back to the web home page (as opposed to the forum home page). This bit is still broken, pending support fixing it. So I removed it, that was causing a cookie change (I think) so fingers crossed it should be OK now.

Wish I could replicate it, I can go post to post no issue here personally. When you go from one thread to another, exactly what are you clicking please?

More like fucked in this case, at least that is how it felt @ the time I posted this! Hehehe, that is 'cos it has been fixed! The company that provides the software are fantastic on support front!

Having carried out a fastidious test of the upgrade process on our proposed new host I plumped for the upgrade here. As you have no doubt seen it has not gone well. Dates are pooched. Search is pooched. Status updates are pooched. I'm pooched... Bear with us, I do have a backup and can fall back if required.. but I'd rather not!

We do but.. In order to show TS3 status on our own site we have to have our IP here authorised by the TS server, our host will not do that as it requires shutting the server down. It is a shared server (we'll ignore the fact that it does get restarted when upgraded so the change could have been done). My search for a better hosting solution, and the current contender, means we can host our own TS server now and not have this problem with the status widget.

It has fixed it, looks good and performance is still good.

Apparently these drivers have now fixed the corrupt text issue: Downloading them now

Wow! What OS is on that beast, or can you put what you want on it? How permanent would it be?

Cheers Dragan, we do have another server I am building at the moment. Mostly done now, running beta 3 of the latest forum software (gold is released on Tuesday so will not migrate until after that any way) and it is looking good so far. We will have our own TS3 server running on the new system too, so can dispense with the third party viewer at last! I'd like to try Mumble server on it too, I have used it a lot on another server of mine and quality is very good, it is open source and has a built in overlay. Plus it supports other games, and can link what you are running to a room. For example if you are running BattleField 2 Bad Company, when you start the game it dumps you into a room for that game. Don't know yet if it works with IL2 that way though..

OK try now.. Hateful little shit, this is a third party utility we are using kludged into our own system. Will be so much easier if we have our own TS Server..

Up to you really Nick, you put a lot of time and effort into this and I don't think any one would complain if some profit went in your pocket. Must get around to putting in my order! On the Web/TS side of things I am busy trying to get a better solution for us. Current hosting is quite bad now, and an admin nightmare (my shell connection keeps getting reset and the database side of things is poor too). I'm tending towards a combination of a VPS and Amazon S3 for storage - we have over 20GB of data!! I'll post more detail in the right place.. hijack over.
