  1. OK I'll take it up with Darkstarr, I too have seen the disconnects on web page.
  2. +1 to this: ctrl+0 (zero) resets to 100%
  3. Be Tolerant - a fantastic plan REVISED I am perplexed that so many of my friends are against a mosque being built near Ground Zero. I think it should be the goal of every American to be tolerant. The mosque should be allowed, in an effort to promote tolerance. That is why I also propose, that two gay nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque thereby promoting tolerance within the mosque. We could call the clubs "The Turban Cowboy" and "You Mecca Me So Hot". Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork and have an open barbeque with spare ribs as its daily special. Across the street a very daring lingerie store called "Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret” with sexy mannequins in the window modeling the goods. Next door to the lingerie shop, there would be room for an Adult Toy Shop (Koranal Knowledge?), its name in flashing neon lights, and on the other side a liquor store; maybe call it "Morehammered"? If you agree in promoting tolerance and you think this is a good plan, pass it on.

Well this is what I shall be getting for the transmitter: http://www.heliguy.com/Extras/Radio-Transmitters/Spektrum-DX6i/ 6 Channels is the minimum I would say, has memory modes so you can have profiles for rotary and fixed wing models. Any matching 6 channel 2.4GHZ receiver to go with it. You can use that transmitter with the ESky too Also look into a flight Sim, ClearView is pretty good: http://rcflightsim.com/
  5. Make sure you run the TiR software as admin I found this out the hard way! Seems the 'trapping' of the key stroke whilst another program is foreground (as IL2 will be) is considered malicious by Win7 unless program is running as admin.
  6. There is an option to turn off drive write caching, and you may be able to enable 'Optimize for quick removal': Open Device Manager, expand 'Disk drives', right click your eSATA drive and you should see this: Disable Write caching as a minimum on this drive, and if possible enable the top option. As it says on the tin, so to speak, this negates the need to 'Safely Remove'

Plus F1 in-game gives you a handy help screen for the controls, such as they are. Research is the key to getting tanks upgraded, judicious application of experience points and then purchases of the upgrades to improve the tank. Remember you can exit back to the depot to take out a reserve tank in a new battle, when your primary ride gets knocked out. Helps to get momentum up
  10. Added Dogz Time clock to our clocks, so we now Have NY time, UTC and London. First and last update automatically with DST changes, Dogz time is UTC/GMT so is a constant... or as constant as a clock can be

Well... I've heard mention of Dogz time but it has never been explained to me. I created those clocks, and both show DST relevant their area, working on the assumption that what was required was to know what time we saw when we looked at our clocks, without having to do any maths..

  13. Must be your eyes guys.. This is an example of the database corruption we had, I have copied back missing text and attachments. If you see topics/posts like this then please report them and I will endeavour to re-instate the missing stuff from backups. Again if there are any who would like to volunteer their time to help it would be much appreciated.

Windows 7? Are you using MS Security Essentials too? I'm having to use my 2008 server boot currently, since downloading via torrent the WoT installer I have been unable to browse files/folders on my 7 install, disk IO goes through the roof locking my system up (hard drive light remains firmly on). Ran the downloaded installer through 2008 boot and it's fine, looks like Windows 7. MS Essentials is bugged - what a surprise.. Uninstalled MSSE, it was Windows Defender screwing my system up. Used task manager > performance tab > Rseource Monitor to determine what was hogging my system resources, it was MsMpEng.exe which is defender..

Wouldn't happen to be gec100 would you? If so we were on the same server a few times, same side at least once! There are training servers/rooms you can create. Servers are off-line now until Wednesday, when they will come back and be state side. New patch being applied too, which includes ability to form squads (and invite friends to them) which would make TS/Mumble voice comms a good idea! They are doing a soft wipe too, so all tanks will be reset and existing accounts credited with 5000 gold - so that is enough to buy and crew 3 tanks apparently. A fun game that is easy to dip in and out of, with battles lasting 15 minutes or longer, and being able to take a reserve tank out when one gets knocked out makes for an enjoyable diversion.

    Pinning Topics?

Bottom right of post, topic moderation drop down:
  21. I got a USB lead for £10 that connects my transmitter to my PC, and there are some good Flight Sims around for practice Free FMS Clear View -$30 I got the full version of ClearView (It has a time limited trial) and they a pretty good. Biggest issue with the Helo is it is supposed to be RTF (ready to fly) but reality is it is more Ready To Fix, an experienced pilot could fly it no doubt but it was not at all well set up! Getting blades balanced, servo's adjusted etc. is painstaking but well worth the effort. My last crash the bloody thing got quite close to me, those blades look pretty wicked as they spin and it frightened the shit out of me
  22. I'll have to get one and install it on my electric RC heli.. but first I'll have to learn to fly the bloody thing! I can hover it now but it is costing me a fortune in blades (and no it's not the tiny thing I got at Duxford, that is easy to fly!): Honey Bee CP3
