Thank you kindly for the scoreboard - am I allowed to point out a minor query I have as I a little confused? The post mission scores blackboard posted on 15th December show that was my 10th mission, and I had 3 confirmed kills. The actual scoreboard posted on 15th December shows 9 missions and 3 kills. The latest scoreboard shows the same, this should be my 11th Mission and 4 confirmed kills. I am not sure if it is PWG or what but things don't seem to be correctly updating on my pilot, unless I am missing something 😲 Also - for those doubters at post ops briefing last week - I told you my kill was a long nose 190 - none of you believed me, probably 'cos I am foreign - don't worry, I am used to it 😁

True that you can't operate the radio in IL2 - but as FT says, the added immersion of the radio quality would be cool. I know there is a W2 sound effect addon for TS - which I have, but it has never worked properly for me sadly.

Wow, well done - honestly though I am not worried about how many kills I have or medals awarded or promotions won etc - so please don't feel bad about missing me out, or feel you need to put this amount of effort in to get my kill on the board. I am here for the banter, the jokes, the incredibly good looks of Mr Artage and Major Painless, the second to non flying skill of the whole 485th - and the fabulous singing voice of FT 😃 Anything on top of the above is a bonus. However, I do thank you hugely for the time and effort you put into this, not just the 4 hours for last night's op - but everything else I see you get done for DD - I know too well how much time, effort and schlepp (is that a word you use in the UK?) that is - and so often goes under-appreciated. So - for the record, I appreciate it 👍

Hi chaps, I see next campaign mission is tomorrow, sadly, I will be away tomorrow - believe it or not, we had tickets for the family booked to Lapland UK and will be there tomorrow evening. Due to covid their way of doing things has changed, and they have staggered start times and so on. Our slot starts at 4:30pm. This means there is no way I will be able to get through Lapland, which we are told is around 4 hours, and get back home in time to fly 😟 Again, I apologise I have not been able to make a campaign mission in a few weeks now, sadly illness and chaos have taken over my household the last few weeks I do hope to be able to be back soon.

Guys I apologise for missing 2 in a row, but I have come down pretty ill this weekend and will be missing tonight 😞. Symptoms don't suggest Covid, but we are watching them closely. Best of luck and I hope I can get flying with you all again soon, I miss the banter 😉

Interesting, as I landed at the emergency airfield with time to go on the mission I took to counting the bullet holes, and other holes in my aircraft. I counted 73 small calibre holes and 7 large holes ranging from hand to dinner plate size - all on the right wing, right engine and right tail boom of my aircraft. My attack on the airfield reminded me very clearly of a passage in Pierre Closterman's "Big Show" where he described a strafing run on an airfield with his section of Typhoons, and after describing how murderous the flak was, after his pass he looked back and realised he was the only one who had survived the run, all other aircraft behind him had been shot down by the flak on a single pass. 😲 After that they tried to keep clear of airfield strafing runs wherever possible. The P38 is definitely more forgiving with damage than something like a Spitfire is - usually any engine damage in a Spit is terminal within a couple of minutes - the P38 seemed to last a fair bit longer as long as the engine was dialled right down. Great aircraft 👍

@Painless would you be so kind as to send me the actual file you use for icons in your install? I will replace mine with that and see if it helps as I am having similar problems offline as I did last night. And that is after a dose of my special Famous Grouse medication, and thorough cleaning of my spectacles 😉
