  1. What if you try that fix once more? If it helps, you just keep applying it whenever the issue occurs... Or maybe put it in your Start Menu, Startup section... it will then run each and every time you boot the computer.
  2. For the gunner automation: Assign a key to 'toggle level autopilot' (in controls), use the key in flight, the message 'Autopilot automation off' will appear and it's fixed. With 'Autopilot automation' switched 'on' the autopilot will switch to ON when you leave a station, and switch it OFF for te station you are going to. It will also switch autopilot OFF when you return to the cockpit from external view. If 'Autopilot automation' is off, it just does nothing. Well, apart from all other stations having autopilot ON at the start, and you needing to switch it off yourself (and back on) hopping in and out of stations... As for the skins... no idea...
  3. As for the laptop, you can try and perform a kinda power-unit-reset this way: - Unplug the power from the laptop. - Remove the battery from the laptop. Press-and-hold the laptop's Power button for some 10 seconds. (Yes, this may look silly, but it's a normal procedure... well, for HP laptops anyways... ) It might help... Then again, it could just be broken you know... both of 'm could... loose wire? Or bad battery...
  4. Sure, you can put it there. But better make double sure you document nicely what it is for, and when it should be used. So not everyone with just a sound card issue will try and download it... it's rather specific... Edit: Better yet, attach it here first, I'd like to have a look at it, to see what it does...
  5. Upon researching I found a terribly disturbing fact, one that makes me think this FL-Duxford must be a HOAX! From the IWM website: But then my mind strolled away, and came up with this solution, we could be assisting eachother: (Turn up the volume, lyrics are spot on, and it is a brilliant piece of music) Iggy Pop - I Wanna Be Your Dog
  6. Put me down as 'Prospective' please. Currently GooglingEarthing on what it's like there... Investigating how to get there. And if I make it there, it's gonna be them 3 days, and possibly two more, thursday to assimilate, monday to dessimilate
  7. Beautiful! Great editing... great composition... with the music and stuff. Brilliant...
  8. We can't? Will their phone disconnected during the build?
  9. Andy, have a look at this: ChkMods 1.09: Tool to Check and Fix your modded installation. It might come in handy should you run into issues after installing the AAA 1.1. mods...
  10. Me thinks the values for both are not set the same. Friendlies maybe for 1000m, much less (or maybe even 0) for enemies.
  11. ChkMods will indeed replace them modules if need be, they are part of the BluePrint... Just found out ChkMods changes date/time stamp of the files when it downloads them (sets them to date/time of download)... effectively, after using ChkMods you cannot use the date/time stamp anymore to identify them. Oops...
  12. Ted? Is that you? 25 years ago I enjoyed listening to him.... well, to his music that is...
  13. That's the spirit
  14. Good work on the weathering... nice details... One Q though... whatsup with them greyish tires? Did the Japanese use some substitute for Rubber?
  15. I'm on TS now...
  16. il2_core.dll should be dated March 13th, 2008 (Uumhhhrrrrmmmm... those are not the Feb dll's me thinks ) The ones I use are attached here... Edit: I'm using Water=4 Dll-s.zip
  17. Here's a weird idea on the use of Profiles: Switching between versions (mods / no mods / 4.09b / 4.08) will copy a different il2fb.exe to your game folder. Could this mess up NVidia's use of profiles, as it does no longer recognize the executable? (Just guessing...)
  18. Can't help you there, I always only tune the Global Settings, and I leave the rest as they are... but as far as I know, indeed, the NVidia software should recognize you start IL2, and then it applies the settings...
  19. Yeah, at high resolution, with everything 'maxed' it sure is a looker... Except for the banding, some visible in the water, on land too, but less visible... or are you not seeing that? (Oh dear, what if you didn't see 'm before, and now you know, you do?. ...
  20. 1680x1050 Average FPS in BDt is 50. When yours appears limited to 40, me thinks it shows you is CPU bound. I can't really get it over 50, unless I overclock the CPU, bring it from stock 2.4 to 3.0Ghz and FPS go to 54.
  21. Two remarks: Change the Water=1 to Water=4, water looks better that way when using NVidia, me thinks. Change Effects=2 to Effects=1. (Prevents grey/black flickering smoke) And thanks, I increased my AA and AF settings... no decrease in FPS
  22. Perfesser, does the 2ms really work? I got me both a 19" (4:3) and a 22" Samsung, and for both I need to disable 'RTA' on both to prevent a small blur behind dots/lods moving accross the screen. (Ghosting?) Disabling RTA in fact sets response time back to 5ms, as RTA is a trick to (attempt to) improve response time.
  23. It's been some time since I've been using an ATI card, but you could very well be right, ATI may still have the better image quality... Sounds like a good deal, $130, I paid a lot more a few months ago, EUR 188,= Here's my settings, based on a balance between performance and IQ...
