  1. Not sure, and probably won't till it's actually released. Odds are, it will affect the 4.09 versions for sure. Since they are going to be affecting the core of the game with new aircraft and maps, and such. The other versions, would be the same. So someone will undoubtedly adjust the files the switcher manipulates for 4.09
  2. RC put it about right I think. IL2 was first released packaged 80% better for sure. And RC stating it's taxing on your machine, needs to be stressed. It's very taxing on your machine!!!!!! I've got the AMD 3700+ Ati 1950 pro 2 gigs Corasir 3400 ram. and it spanks IL2 even with the Mods. It crawls whines and begs me to stop, with ROF.
  3. Well, I'm in the process of this myself. Upgrading from my ATI 1950 pro to this. I just ordered a 260gtx from dell Tue. 129.00 after rebates and stuff. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Graphics_Cards/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04&sku=A2383034&dgc=BF&cid=7421&lid=197378 I'm hoping that will let me play ROF a bit better till I can save the money for a new Mobo/CPU I'm definitely skipping the dual core stuff, and going onto quad core, from my single core AMD 3700+ My friends flying/beta testing ROF are just able to host a game and fly with dual cores, and the Quad core guys are stressing a bit, but able to manage it just fine. I can only guess SOW will be just as rough on our stuff. I'm along the lines of this possibly in the next few months of one peice at a time, or just saving till I'm close and then grabbing it all at once, by then prices should be a bit lower. If I'd of had the money I'd of left Kansas City today with this. PSU 150
  4. I'm diggin up bones, just diggin up bones, exuming things better left alone. Here one of you guys asked me about this pic awhile back, Here is a thread at a Bow forum that will make ya grin reading it. http://www.iowaoutdoors.org/forum/print.php?id=343695
  5. I know, that was one of my first thoughts too. You deserve a big credit for that I'm sure.
  6. Those of you that have it. http://riseofflight.com/Blogs/post/2009/07/28/Patch-1004.aspx This way better for me and my settings. @ the moment. I can now see the whole screen And since I can see the whole screen now I can adjust my fuel
  7. Cool, too bad the quality isn't better, or some war birds were in front of it.
  8. Ok I'll start clicking both then too. Thanks
  9. I'm getting tired of this forum not updating me, on recent topics accurately. It used to do so well. And I went and posted this later in a separate thread because of it. http://www.dangerdogz.com/forums/index.php/topic,7797.msg66133/boardseen.html#new I wonder why its broken, It used to be like a Swiss watch
  10. Here are the few things that peaked my interest. http://www.simhq.com/_air13/air_420a.html Some long awaited joystick controls via game. Yes triggers Oleg: Yes, an updated dedicated server will be available with the v4.09 release. guod: Will the 4.09 update void any mods? Or mods dealing with specific areas? Oleg: The intention was to not disable or fight with the mods. We wanted to finalize the beta patch and deliver some new content IL-2 fans might have been waiting for. Martin: It is our personal preference to work privately, in a small but experienced team, and release add-ons that are closed to further end-user modifications. There are many talented people around the world who can enhance this simulator, there is no doubt about it. However, we would like to provide an alternative to those IL-2 fans who find open modding inconvenient, difficult to follow, and prefer smaller but structured and unique content over quantity. If there are people who share the same vision as we do and would like to contribute with their own work to our project or cooperate with us, they can contact the team here. guod: Oleg, what do you think about the job done on v4.09 by Team Daidalos? Oleg: Should I think bad of them, I wouldn't have agreed to publish this under my name. I believe in them. But, I will say even more — I am simply stunned by the results of their work! I like everything they did. I wish them best of luck in their hard work and hope, they will continue to follow the right principles and quality standards. This team really can become a great SOW add-on maker in the future, when it's ready for it's 3D engine. guod: One last question which you can probably guess what it is... when can we download the final v4.09 update? Oleg: As soon as we are able. TOAD:Two Weeks Be sure!

  12. Nice BA I've always wanted one too, nearly bought a Kimber once, but elected for a cheaper glock. I don't play with it, it just stays in the ready is all.

  18. I was 4 years old, and I remember watching it. Then shiting myself, and eating cookies and milk most likely. Or running around outside catching firefly's or something childish silly.

  22. Well I just hosted two coops for him, vanilla IL2 and he joined easily from a previous install of an un-modded version. So were pretty sure his game install is corrupt for some reason.
