  1. Howdy guys I'm just now back up and running. I decided to do this Monday, and also install Ubuntu a Linnix
  2. OK, this is ignorant, bringing them out, to something like this, will only heighten the fever of the Anti gun followers to push harder to take them away.
  3. Yeh got this email from them last week I think, I'm stuck waiting for the version that supports TIR3
  4. I'd want the M14, (rather use the M1, but not enough rounds per clip for me, and the clip ring when I'm empty and the time it takes to reload) and a Tommy and barrel clip over my shoulder once things got too close.
  5. Yep, so I said, several times around the block.
  6. Yeh GK My machine just barely runs it when recording with Fraps. The TIR is definitely affected by it. You really need a dual core, or more to truly enjoy the game. I can only record in a simple mission like this, or take screen shots. Although the servers I was on in the middle of the night, I managed to remain in the 20's for the most part, and it ran well enough to have a pretty dan g good time with it. It's not IL2 and it has a long ways to go to getting there, for ease of use and functions. Il2 in the beta days was 80% better thought out, and ready for market than this thing and its GUI interface. http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/2601013236/m/8241049877?r=7851031187#7851031187 Here's a couple for ya.
  7. Yes, I recorded this last week, I've since got be4tter settings, but recording and flying really drags my machine down. Single digits at times. I've got nothing to do, so I'll try another aircraft, and see how it goes with my settings now.
  8. Some ROF today and this evening. Attacking Train Capturing the Train My First Human Kill Got it Lets get out of here I'm not looking so good after fighting those two Newports, running for saftey. Ran out of fuel, and managed to escape. Finished off with a 6 Streak I have my Machine tweaked the most I can, without some serious OC, and since it's Summer time, I'm not going to fool with it. I was able to stay in the 20's to 30's FPS on the two servers I flew on tonight. Small missions, pretty much 5 vs 5
  9. I noticed that word too, it's not a normal word for my parts, so I just looked it up. agog \uh-GOG\ , adjective: 1. Full of excitement or interest; in eager desire; eager, keen. Definitely not what I expected it to mean. I was expecting, "shock/flabbergasted" New word for me, I'm agog to get around using it at work, I'm sure it will stump the rest of us in these parts too.
  10. In Vanilla I don't get this, but I do with mods. it's probably a side affect from the Bumpification Mod. Just wondering if any of you want a new drug.
  11. Try here Zooly and others. I just went looking and found full length ones. http://www.youtube.com/show?p=lwRWg1czcnk I hope they work.
  12. Is on Hulu for any of you that missed an episode, or have never seen it. http://www.hulu.com/carrier Ah dam, just read the fine print, Hulu is only available in the USA
  13. I just got done watching this movie. It was quite good for a low budget WW2 movie. I'd gave it 4 stars. I got a chuckle out of the showing of how naive the American is and how sneaky the Brit is, over a fag/cigarette, and later the Brit regretting his wit. http://www.imdb.com/video/hulu/vi1665073177/ Ah dam, just read the fine print, Hulu is only available in the USA When I signed up it said my password was not suitable for this sight. So I typed it in German and it took.
  14. The answer I have found so far is given to him in the thread over at JO. I jumped in earlier to give the same advice. But once I read it, I just kept quiet. Move IL2 into a folder outside of the Normal Windows structure. Then install the Mods to get the no dvd, unless he want's to only use 4.08 then. He can get it form Gamecopy world or the like. Or you can just copy your 4.08 no dvd IL2fb.exe and email it to him.
  15. They were and the begging of modern day UFO spotting. There once even a Band that grabbed the Nick. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=foo+fighters
  16. Ok, I see what your saying. It does it to me too, I think. Apparently the online aircraft tag settings from last server stick if the game has not been shut down. This is what I see if I just flew on dogs server, then host the coops without shutting down the game. I'd say you have noticed something now one else has about this game. Good catch
  17. Sorry, I don't agree with this at all.
  18. In your Control settings do you have a key assigned to? "Toggle Icon Settings" If so possibly you are hitting it inadvertently cycling
  19. One thing for sure, is the thought that us as a people could up rise and over throw our Government with our hunting rifles is insane. In today's world unless our Military was strongly leaning on the peoples side the civilians would be nothing more than a nuisance. It's not the late 1700's anymore, the Red coats lost control of us only due to logistics of the time. It's sad though they only gave us our freedom, and our respect at the end of a rifle. One of the main reasons of the 2nd Amendment.
  20. Not pointing a finger at just you GK but to all that posted in retort. You guys put an awful lot in between the lines there. Just like the anti gun people over here. Twist it to your favor, and yell lunatic at gun owners. No were did I say anything more than gun ownership. I'm done in this before I cut myself out of some of your friendships. We all have a right to an opinion, and some of us have a right to Bear arms. Till us gun toting self righteous bastards come over to your land, or home, and stuff it in your face, you really have nothing to say that, holds any relevance to what I am able to do with one. Some of your lands Once welcomed us Yanks, and our weapons and ways to defend your county's right to try and tell us what to do 60 odd years later. Remember that. Now do some research into your own counties, Firearm manufacturing facilities. Do the make and distribute these to the public either at home and abroad. If so lobby against them in your own country. Wow TOAD, that is some... assumption there. Just because I might enjoy blowing the head off some obnoxious teenager from Brentford, with a sniper rifle in the online game, "BOOM HEAD SHOT 3 : Return to Shit-hole-istan" does not make me want to take to the streets with a Barrett M82 sticking out of my backpack. It really is an American thing, looking at the posts of our members, something that us tight spandex shorts wearing 'Brünos' over here in Europe, will never get.
  21. Well the training missions, icon settings are your doing. Since your hosting them yourself. Let me run them in both versions I'll be right back. So I'm not sure what your doing? Host settings
  22. The Host controls the Icon settings Sweper the Client can only toggle them on and off with a bound key, But only if the Host is actually letting you see them. Most host use a RCU file and the script they create to control Icon settings. Truly though they are tags, the icons ore the planes that show on the map. Again controlled by the Host, just a bit easier, since its switchable through the games GUI interface, prior to hosting.
  23. Good post DT, Enforcer. I like animals because they taste great!!!!!!!!!! Gec
  24. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20090806/wl_canada_afp/canadaushistorywwiiarcheologyairplanecrash_20090806231120 OTTAWA (AFP) – Canadian underwater archeologists accidentally discovered what they believe to be the wreck of a US Air Force airplane that sank in the Saint Lawrence seaway in 1942, the Parks Canada divers said Thursday. The divers said in a statement that they were carrying out routine work in an adjacent area when they came across the wreck. It must still be confirmed that it is indeed the lost plane. "This is a very significant discovery," Quebec region Minister Christian Paradis said. "This plane is a testament to the collaboration between Canada and the US during the Second World War." The amphibious aircraft foundered in rough weather on November 2, 1942, in the waters surrounding what is now the Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve in the eastern Gulf of Saint Lawrence. The plane was based at Presqu'Ile, Maine, in the United States, and serviced an airfield in the village of Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan, Quebec, about 1,000 kilometers (641 miles) northeast of Montreal. Nine persons were on board when the aircraft went down. Four of the crew escaped the flooding plane and were rescued by local fishermen rowing out from shore in open boats in rough seas. The five others perished, trapped inside. Officials said sonar scans indicate the plane appears to be in good condition and divers hope to recover any remains of the five victims in the coming weeks. "The United States government was extremely interested to learn of the discovery of the wreckage," said David Fetter, Consul General of the United States. In 1941 and 1942, the United States constructed a series of airfields in Eastern Canada to ferry aircraft to Allied air forces in Northern Europe, as part of the so-called "Crimson Route." The construction of the airport in Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan was to serve as an emergency airfield along the ferry route between Presque Isle and Goose Bay, Labrador.
