    X52 or X52 pro?

From a man who has both, I reckon that's a good endorsement for either one, but the clincher may be Also, as Friar says, you can firtle with the config, modes etc because it is versatile and as like His Reverence, I am moving things around every so often and trying new stuff like macros. I went from an X45 with a juddering/sticky base plate so appreciate the smoothness of the 52. I think the clincher though will be the cash difference....
  3. That's an original game feature - I've noticed it since Forgotten Battles. It used to happen on the "Black Death" track but doesn't happen now for some reason. Looks great...
  4. Hope you have as good a time as we had at Duxford
  5. Ah, that sounds better...yes, it is about 8pm, good timing
  6. Sounds good fun T_O_A_D but unfortunately it's the Bank Holiday weekend in the UK which means a wet and windy weekend in the caravan somewhere - I'd have done it otherwise. Thanks for asking Sid
  7. I won't say that Kling looks uncomfortable, but I would say the clenched fist is a bit of a clue.......

    MAT Manager problem

Yeeeah, good stuff. I think Ace's Mat programme is a "must have". I haven't changed much from the default and have been happy with the result for a a long while.

    Oshkosh Pictures

A great variety of types there Erco. What flew? I like many of those pics, but like to see whats underneath the skin especially the P38 with the guns and drums showing.
  10. I missed this thread somehow.... They downloaded fine and are great fun. On the Yaks I stayed with my static plane and cranked the sound up, the flybys are superb
  11. Living in this country drives one effin' MAD sometimes.....
  12. Those blue "discharges" may be a driver issue, Painless, what driver are you using? Got any screenies?
  13. Looks great mate, the skins on the static stuff makes a real difference. I still fly campaigns offline and will give this a go. Sid
  14. Hope to shake your hand one day mate....~S~ Loved the weekend, I was in my element...noise, spectacle, beer (could have done with more, but hey...), K9z

    IL2 down HELP

    Does a reboot solve it?

    Sound Snafu,

Are you using the "Soundblaster" instead of the onboard sound? If you are, has the onboard sound been disabled in the BIOS? It may be worth checking this just in case whatever sent your sound haywire also switched the onboard back on. If this happened, the "Soundblaster" driver won't install properly and comes up with an error during startup.

    Sound Snafu,

Hopefully all is not lost.... Try this, I have had Creative "Soundblaster" issues in the past. Download the drivers ONLY for your soundcard from the manufacturers site and save them somewhere easy to get at. Uninstal all the Creative sound drivers and associated Creative software through "Add/remove programs" and clean the registry with something if possible. Reboot and go for a fresh install of the drivers only. The other Creative stuff is ok but isn't always necessary and can always be added on later. Here's hoping....
  21. Reminded me of the DDz sig..... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7490899.stm
  22. Huzzah....best of luck, hope it all goes well
  23. Lol...oooeerrr....YEAH BABY!!! What military aircraft are you? B-52 Stratofortress You`re a B-52. You are old and wise, and you absolutely love destruction. You believe in the principle of "peace through deterrence" and aren`t afraid to throw your weight around.
  24. Not wishing to hijack BGs opportunity to reply, but it was a blast. I got on about 9.00pm and stayed for a few hours!! There were about 15 flying and most were on TS. Dogz didn't crowd it - there were 3 or 4 of us. Names from the Zoo I recognise and can remember (apologies to those I don't): MBAvro SeafireIV BeWolf arthursmedley FoolTrottel jediteo 99thM........? hopefully someone else can add to the list. BG supplied a steady variation of maps and very fair planesets whilst Quazis TS worked like a charm - thanks gents. From my point of view gameplay was smooth and I don't recall any lagging or issues. The chat was excellent, everyone stuck to the agreed rules and folks were introduced to the "20 second rule" - went down very well! Skills were balanced Red and Blue naturally which meant that generally no-one dominated and most pilots were getting a score at the end. One map in particular was interesting (Russian/German planeset) in that no-one scored any points but no-one survived lol
  25. Lol, this place is a hoot...
