  1. I bought a Belkin 'n532te' and got a bit pee'd off when I couldn't use it along with my Saitek X52 and pedals. It appears that the software it came with conflicts with the Saitek and disables the Saitek stuff....however, the profile I set up in the n52 was saved internally in the unit and after I deleted the Belkin software and plugged the n52 in to a USB all was well. I can use it along with the Saitek stuff so long as I don't have the Belkin software/driver active
  2. Brilliant, sounds good to me, thanks m8
  3. Cheers Crash, I'll have a mooch around. PC World have the Belkin one in store, no-one seems to stock the Saitek one, only online.
  4. Erm, how many hands do you have m8? Lol, it's not a case of how many...it's a case of what you do with those you've got
  5. Am I correct in thinking that IL2 only allows 4 control/key input devices? If so, does my 4xUSB setup of mouse, keyboard, X52 and rudder pedals count as the 4? I'm assuming this because the mouse and keyboard get used aswell as the other 2. Cheerzen.
  6. Cheers m8
  7. A couple of questions.... You've swapped from an AGP card to a PCIe on the same motherboard? Have you tried this sequence? Remove the video drivers and 'clean up' any driver leftover files etc - Switch off and take the card out - Replace the card and reboot - Do a clean install of the drivers. I appreciate you are using ATI but this worked for me with Nvidia when I had niggly driver issues and particularly when I changed cards - it became standard practice for me. I found that installing a different card and expecting it to run with the previous driver settings was a source of issues. Perhaps going from AGP to PCIe is the same? Cheerzen
  8. Book it , Danno
  9. Is that price for 2 nights?

    RAM

Mate, I've never heard of a ram called a gig. Perhaps more would be better as the one you have might be gay. As to your questions 1) If he can't do it himself there is an issue 2) What are you using your 'puter for, the answer to that should be in "Sheep Breeders Weekly" Cheerzen

    Fraps result

Like others, I have been following the Passmark thread with interest. I have thankfully managed to avoid the envy Dep and agree with Strider that so long as IL2 runs smooth and looks good then I am happy. Then Fraps was raised. I think this is a great tool and has provided me with a "Black Death" benchmark for "frames per second" for ages. A couple of days ago someone put some specs up on the UBI forum so I did some more comprehensive testing using Fraps and came up with these results. I have XP Service Pack 3 E6850 3000 dual core cpu PNY Nvidia 8800GTX gpu 2gig Corsair RAM 22" LG running at 1680 x 1050 IL2 graphics are "....88XX...." in the game video setup and "Perfect" (AF=Anisotropic filtering, AA=Antialiasing, Supersampling was set throughout) Fraps was started at 3 seconds and finished at 2 minutes 31, v-sync off Figures are FPS Min,
  14. Re-did mine with a disc in the drive and with Kaspersky off, got 980.4 as opposed to 968.4 last time. My lows are in the memory reading, cached and uncached, 2305 and 2274 MBytes/sec out of 3000 respectively.
  15. Ummm... 968.4 'All tests', but like BG got a 'partial test'. I think that was down to the CD reading section as I didn't have one in at the time and got an error when putting one in the drive. Cheerzen
  16. I could take this in a multitude of directions....aww forget it Merry Christmas
  17. Not heard that one, might be a 'tall' story
  18. Welcome to the Pound, Trout. Enjoy yourself, make the most of it and...get one up! Cheerzen Sid

OMG...and...we were there!!!!! Gonna get the missus to get me the Blu Ray for Christmas...ta for posting Jabo, I didn't know where to look for it
  20. It takes up one pci-e x16 slot but as it's a deep card can obstruct the one below. The mobo is designed to take these cards so the other x16 slot is lower down the board so would be available for sli. The mobo runs on 2.0. Don't know how 1.1 goes, I'm afraid
  21. Hi Deputy, From Quazi's list I'm only familiar with the Nvidia 8800GTX as that is what I am running as a solo card along with an 800W power supply - it is more than adequate for this game. Everyone's settings are different because of other hardware/software/tweaks etc. but I run mine with these settings and the latest Nvidia driver (180.48): Anisotropic filtering Application Antialiasing gamma correction On Antialiasing mode

    Do mods do this?

I've flown with the Dogz before mods (b.m.) and came across this bug, and like BA I can't remember the cause. I've mooched around on the UBI forums too but couldn't find anything.

    Good day DD

It was my 2 cents worth mate, not the answer

    Good day DD

I'm not for mercenaries, sorry - flying in an SEOW with the Dogz is one part of what we do and involves a level of commitment to teamwork and the command structure and the Dogz.
