  5. I think I need to be updating my install.....
  6. Well, a lot of those tend to bring a lot of clutter and advertising stuff as well... and probably will not do the Bios update, which is the most relevant here ... Thought easy stuff first
  7. Why not just run a driver update programme first? They are ok and updated many old drivers I had
  8. Upgraded to 10 from 7.1 at least 2 months ago. Very easy to do. Saitek no problems, TrackIR no problems. Considering the programmes I have installed the only thing I had to do was reallocate hotas controls in IL2 because the USB IDs had been changed. That's it. 3 x WD hard drives plus 1 SSD giving me over 1 terrabyte of storage Intel 950 quad core processor GTX 780 graphics Soundblaster soundcard 12gb RAM 4 year old Asus motherboard
  9. When I first started IL2 after installing 10 I saw that my Saitek controllers weren't functioning as usual because the IDs on the HOTAS controls had been changed, nothing else, HOTAS only. I went into the game settings for controls and reassigned them. I had to do this twice and they have stayed assigned ever since. I have had a strict USB plugin sequence for years for the game and I stick to that...I have no problems now. I have a strict sequence because I have two Saitek lever quadrants and unless I plug them in and profile them in order my controls are swapped. The only issue 10 has given my PC after installing, although it is a very small one, is USB IDs. All I had to do was unplug the hardware and put them back in the same USB slot. 10 recognised everything and updated drivers itself, although no new drivers were needed for anything Saitek. I was running 7.1 before so I was pretty much up to date.
  10. I did when I installed 10 a couple of months ago. I redid them a couple of times then but I haven't had any recurring issues for weeks now. For me, it's fixed

Perhaps because they're ultra thin they are too thin for all the data being pushed along them and have split under the pressure......
