Jeez...all that pollution....and shit -
They tried to call you Mr P but your connection was poor and they couldn't get through.... Great that you had a constant good connection last night, it certainly appears that something has moved.

I really enjoy flying Operation Jericho, cheers Tom for putting it together. One of the best parts is the feeling of realism in the mission, it works really well for me. Browsing through the 'net today I found a short Pathe News film about the raid that shows what we are out to achieve and how accurate we are in what we do! Brilliant stuff.

Mate, the piccie with the lighthouse in would be my screen background.. If it wasn't for the fact that there was a VW in front of it....

Cheers Fen. There were loads of posts on forums but your suggestions are where I'd got to. I will probably await 2.5 unless I have loads of time on my hands before or after the house move.

Pardon my perceived lack of understanding but from the DCS/Eagle Dynamics forums I believe my version of DCS World 1.5.5 will become DCS World 2.5 at some point in the future. I am asking because the Normandy map and assets looks very good and I would like to install them but can't because my version isn't ready for them yet. Is it worth downloading and installing DCS 2 and are all my current aircraft in 1.5.5 compatible? Cheerzen

Theresa (my daughter) flew from Eindhoven to Manchester today of all days. Storm Doris made it interesting..... "Take off was bumpy. Above the clouds was pretty. Manchester closed their airport while we were in-flight. Then they opened it for landing. Circled for landing for 20 minutes. Tried to land twice...couldn't. Got diverted to Liverpool. 10 minutes before landing at Liverpool a fight broke out. Three minutes to landing and a very drunk idiot decided to walk up and down the plane....laughing and cheering at himself while 100 people are screaming at him to sit his butt down. 1minute later he does it again and a woman passes out (bear in mind it feels like we're on a rollercoaster). The plane landed sideways.10 people threw up around me and we've been sitting on the plane for 25 minutes while police taserd said idoit. Police escorted the fighters off and the paramedics are here treating the woman who passed out. And due to the shortage of baggage handlers (we're not next to the terminal, out in an open parking spot) we're going to wait a while before we can get our luggage. I need ground beneath my feet...pronto. And someone please give this cabin crew a massive bonus #bumpyflight #groundnowplease#imtoooldforthis " Looking forward to a Dad Hug later when I pick her up from her uncle's in Droitwich, he was good enough to offer to pick her up so had to contend with the diversion.

Sid's planes View File In the zip file is a folder called 'Sid's planes v3' that contains some iconic aircraft, a Westland Whirlwind fighter/bomber, an F7F Tigercat fighter/bomber and 3 versions of the Gloster Meteor jet. I have been flying these aircraft around in HSFX for a while now and have had some fun. I think they are types that the Dogz may want to use and also add some fresh aircraft in an easy way because they can be put in as one installation via jsgme, a method we are all familiar with, meaning that they can be installed and taken out very easily. They work absolutely fine on my installation and should work for you too although I cannot guarantee this if you have mods running other than the Dogz ones we use. Installation: Unzip the zip file to the 'jsgmemods' folder in your main HSFX 7 folder. Then go to your jsgme activator and install 'Sid's planes v3' as you would any other mod we use. Start your game and enjoy. All the folders in the 'Sid's planes v3' folder are arranged so that all files go to the correct places so you don't have to do anything else. All credits to the game maker and mod makers for all the bits therein, I have only put them into a folder. Cheerzen Submitter Sid Submitted 01/23/2016 Category HSFX 7 Checksum

What card have you got? Not that it makes much difference because modern cards munch IL2 for breakfast. Can't do Clod though mate. Someone is bound to say different but these settings have worked well for me for years on cards from the old 6600GTX (the first card I could max it out on!!) up to the 970 I am using now. These NVIDIA settings are the ones you need to think about as the rest can be left as default as they have little or no impact on IL2: Anisotropic filtering = 16x Antialiasing - Mode = override application setting Antialiasing setting = 8x on big screens or x16 if you are running a resolution like 1920 x 1200 Antialiasing - Transparency = Off Multi-display/mixed GPU = Single display Power management mode = Prefer maximum performance Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample optimisation = Off Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias = Clamp Texture filtering - Quality = Quality Threaded optimisation = Off Triple buffering = On Vertical sync = On Make sure your game resolution is the same as your screen resolution.

Back to normal on a clean win10 64bit install Using old 2007 vintage saitek drivers for x52pro stick and rudder and the windows generic usb driver for the 2 lever quadrants. Stick and rudder were recognised by the newer mad catz (saitek replacement) driver and programming software but the profiles wouldn't work in game. Levers weren't being recognised when the driver was being installed using the old or new saitek software so I plugged in the usb, went to device manager, selected the hardware that had appeared with the yellow triangle and installed from it's properties window by searching for compatible software on the computer. Had options for mad catz driver and saitek driver when i installed the second lever quadrant but ignored them and stayed with the generic usb driver. Works a treat. Old saitek programming software and away we go!! Probably took me 3 hours of searching and trying different suggestions, pleased it was something relatively simple. Lifesaver information is at the bottom of page 1 of this link http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-hardware/saitek-x52-not-detected-by-driver-install-program/a54a3578-ccd7-4a30-80f5-34f006a12399?auth=1

~S~ chaps Not seen anyone else posting about this or heard it on chatter. I had a problem in the past few days where some of my keyboard commands were producing the wrong symbol eg. @ and " were reversed, so were £ and #. I think it was because of a windows 10 update but I haven't been around a week or so so haven't noticed it. Tried a different keyboard, same issue. Looked online and found a thread that said downloading the regional language pack was the answer and will put everything back. I went into my settings, found the language setting was English US and that English UK is a downloadable option. I downloaded English UK for language and keyboard. This now replaces English US and worked a treat. Cheerzen
