    A320 Crash

Actually, following his initial psychological problem was treated he was re-tested and passed with 'flying colours' to quote the organisation concerned. However it has also been said that there was a sick note covering the time of the flight which had been torn up. My guess would be that he had relapsed and was at risk of losing his job so was covering it up as best he could. It would appear that a number of European airlines are now going down the route of two people in the cockpit at all times (some were already doing this anyway). I am more concerned though why if the door can be opened from the outside by following the correct procedure why this wasn't done by the pilot outside rather than trying to break the door down. However it happened it's a tragedy and all the more so if it was deliberate.
  2. And people accuse the BBC of 'dumbing down'....(this is probably true) As Henry Rollins put it - "People aren't born dumb, they just get dumb media"
  3. I'd be inclined to calibrate the stick if you're having that problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I'd ditch the commands for centring the rudder, elevators and ailerons. Only useful if flying without a joystick IMO. I'd also clear any duplicate assignments (where you have more than a single action assigned to a function - see your landing gear controls). On that subject, if you have a toggle set (like the landing gear) then don't bother mapping the individual raise and lower controls as well, this is wasteful and overly complicated. 5. The Syrian border was part of the no-fly zone imposed in the early stages of that conflict and if I remember correctly before the Iraqi jets were moved. Iran was pretty much the only place they could go without being taken out. As it turned out the vaunted Iraqi Air Force was a bit of a damp squib, the coalition air forces had far more trouble with SAMs and AAA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
