    20mm vs. SUV!

Thats OK Mick, it's only been there several weeks since the 'Mosquito Incident'.

    20mm vs. SUV!

Hmm, thanks Snacko - The point I was trying to make is that AWD humungous truck thingies are the ideal thing for using off-road (ie not 'suburban' areas), but over here they tend to get used for the school run and going to the shops where the nearest they get to 'off-road' is taking up two spaces to park and maybe, just maybe rolling up a kerb. They weren't nicknamed 'Chelsea Tractors' for nothing. Yeah, yeah, I'm a tree-hugger. ~S~ Jabo

    Sound Snafu,

Never one to be put down by some minor issue - here's another option. Download and run ccleaner from here: Make sure you also run the registry cleaner (when it prompts you to backup the registry first I suggest you do - just in case). Then try to uninstall the sw from the ccleaner 'options' tab. I suspect there are stub or corrupted files kicking around which are screwing up your attempts to uninstall the sw. ~S~ Jabo PS When that doesn't work let me know

    IL2 down HELP

Have you tried using a different no-cd crack? I think there's one in the Vault, but if not I can send it to you. ~S~ Jabo
  6. Yep, I have the same problem with mine - I have to do what Klinger just suggested, it sometimes takes a couple of tries, but it gets there in the end. ~S~ Jabo

    Sound Snafu,

You could try this if you have the time. Download and install the latest SB software from creative over the top of what you already have, then remove the lot, and reinstall the downloaded sw a second time - that might allow you to remove the faulty installation and replace it with a good one. ~S~ Jabo PS Congrats on the upcoming nuptuals m8 - all the best to you both.

    Funny Vid.

But why is a Dalek attacking a cat? I guess the Doctor's latest incarnation went awry ~S~ Jabo

    20mm vs. SUV!

Ooops. ~S~ Jabo P.S. Could someone enlighten me why there's a 'Sports Utility Vehicle' called the 'Suburban' - Sheesh
  10. I think it's just distortion through the canopy in this case. Looks about right for a P-51 in terms of size. Bigger than a Spit anyway... ~S~ Jabo

    Sad Sad News

There's another of the ex BoB CASAs at Duxford albeit in bits - It may fly again one day. Jabo
  13. Another prowler here too (interesting given the translation of my callsign!) Jabo
  14. ~S~ nice thread How do we get around the fact that 1 year = 7 dog years? Vista users could always add a second clock to that sidebar thingy that's set to dog time? Jabo
  15. That's the bunny...Done a bit more digging. Apparently the CAF's example is the second one they've had, the first was bent in a gear-up landing several years ago, and although it was rebuilt, the CAF were unable to find the appropriate engine (one runs backwards and has a reverse handed prop!), and therefore the restoration was never completed (I've not been able to find out where this plane is now - hopefully in a museum somewhere). The CAF then obtained another airframe and restoration is currently underway. Here's a pic of the first example (The difference in the pitch of the prop blades is evident); Jabo
  16. Indeed, shame the beau and the sunderland are going to be AI only though. That F-82's a mad bird...ISTR there's a potentially airworthy one in a hangar somewhere in the States - now that's something I'd pay to see. I've got a picture somewhere... Jabo
  17. Amen to that - a bloody disgrace in my view Jabo P.S. Nice looking model though, wish I could manage anything half as good.

    Bloody pc

That depends on where Nick bought it from - some places only offer 6 months on after-market components - of course if it was factory fit then a year would be about right. t'other Nick
  19. Hmmm - beer is a cereal. I like. Jabo
  20. Got a couple of contacts 12 o'clock high - possibly bandits...Uhh sorry, been spending too long on TS. Ahem. I've got some accomodation contacts for those that need them. Details below The Old School B&B Tel: 01223 701878 url: www.theoldschoolduxford.co.uk New Inn House B&B Tel: 01799 530463 email: enquries@newinnhouse.co.uk Both of these places still had vacancies this morning. Possibly worth a try if you're still casting around for somewhere to stay. Cheers Jabo
  21. Same here (Saturday only) JP, Mike and I live in Yorkshire which is a fair way off (although not on the American or Canadian scale) and in the opposite direction from Hendon which is why that won't happen for us either
  22. ~S~ chaps I know it's kinda off-topic, but thought you chaps might like to see this. I think it's funny as owt! Jabo
  23. ~S~ All Accident happened at Berlin Airshow. BF109 G-10 had just completed a routine with new-build Me-262 and was landing when the right-hand gearlock failed. Apparently the damage is 'light and repairable' and confined to the prop and wingtip. They might even have got away without shock-loading the engine. 'Fortunately' this aircraft is not an original G-10 as I understand it is a re-converted Hispano Buchon owned by a company called EADS (whoever they are) (See Klinger's post) Some really nice pictures on this thread over at airliners.net of the two aircraft in the air together before the accident. I could have posted them here, but decided against it as they are copyright. Main thing is no-one was hurt. Jabo PS I think this might be the aircraft Mark Hanna (formerly OFMC) lost his life in a few years back.
  24. Quite, but brings a tear to the eye and a lump to the throat - truly a wonderful sight and sound Jabo
  25. Amen to that Jabo
