I'm fed up with people saying "WWI, WWII, whats the point in dwelling on them , lets move on , its in the past" Maybe, but we can only "move on" in the right direction if we learn from humanities mistakes and tragedies. Correct me if I'm wrong but there were quite a few tragedies in both of the world wars right . My point is that an accurate, non glorifying historical tribute to the millions of people involved is the only way the "don't give a shit" young people of today are going to "learn " from history. Most of them sure as hell won't get a book out of the library will they !! Sorry to go off on one but it's important !! I'LL wind my neck in now, before I burst a blood vessel !! (can't get the leave) I have Emailed Mr Blair asking for a plan of the US/Canadian invasion of our fair shores, (2007) when it is known. I very much hope to be able to come up to your neck of the woods for the Duxford (2007) weekend and stay in a local B&B. That way we can have at least a couple of days, (and an evening in a pub) giving "jonny foreigner" lots of grief !!! LOL Maybe the weekend will see the English and the Scotts unite in the face of such an invasion !!! HA HA HA With luck it will be a truly international meeting of warped minds sir ! One of these fine days it would be great to meet some of you guys from across the pond, talk aircraft and get a little drunk maybe !!! :drunken: LOL I think it would be fair to say that because of the complexity of the IL2 sim, the guys that fly it are bound to be substantial characters with real life personalities to match !!! It sounds like that has been your experience so far and I envy you that sir . If money was no object I'm sure a large percentage of us HH's and DD's would love to get together regularly.
