I'm not sure if I can put aside 3 days, I have quite a few other hobbies that I really enjoy. I'll have to wait and find out what its all about and how long and ............ :?

I was just curious about what the Joint Ops really are? is it just an area in HL that people get together or is it a formal, pay dues training sort of thing? :scratch: Is it something that you can just pop in and out of when your time permits or does it have to be schedualed and time put aside for specific times. I want to fly better learn, but I don't really have a large chunk of time to put aside. Heck I hope I can get an hour in with you guy tonight. Just sittin here at work waiting for a test to finish and thinking of the wild blue Yonder with tracers in it

I use the quick Flyby view often to get a peak of the surroundings, plus its really cool looking!!! I even have it mapped to my stick. :whdat:

Well I fixed it :hello1: , I used the last resort registry editor and removed the Upper and Lower filters for the specific registry. found the fix in anoyance.org. there were a lot of people with this problem. I just hope everything else keeps working and that I have not started a chain reaction of negative events. Is it Thursday Yet??

Thanks guys, Yeh, I checked all the hardware connections. unplugged and replugged the deviced, un-installed and reinstalled the device, let windows find it and tell me the same thing. tried a known good cd drive with the same results. this morning before work I tried BG's suggestion with no luck. after work I will attempt what B16enk found out for me. Maybe I Zapped it? I had an ESD strap on the whole dang time though :x Just trying to maintain a clean cool machine and I screw something up. I should listen to myself more: IF IT AINT BROKE, DON'T FIX IT !!

tried to play tonight but my CD drive stopped. this is what is says in hardware properties "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device." Trouble shooting was a goose chase. All I did recently was clean out the dust and hair from the fans and sinks with compressed air. closed her up and No More CD. tried a different CD dive and the same results. :scratch: Don't really know where to go from here. Any suggestions?

If the WAVE volume is muted. wouldn't that also effect the other games? they all work fine (EEII, AOEII,Silent hunter......) I see a reload in my future, Oh yeh and maybe some rudder peddles.

Haven't uninstalled it yet, I have checked all the in game sound setting. I have not checked the sound files folder. I never go in there, so I don't think I deleted anything in there. I will check that though. I also thought that I turned off the sound someplace in the game. The only thing I recently did to my PC is to disable Norton while I play offline to stop it from doing things while I play. Which worked nicely. after playing for an hour. I shut down the game and went to sleep. the next day, no sound in the game. So Ii turned Norton back on thinking that might be it. Nada. so here I am.

Sound works on every other game and sound application. Just not on the Sim.

Man I have tried everything, I'm down to reloading the whole thing :x and all the patches. I haven't commited yet, I am downloading all the patches first. I want to play!! :idea: Maybe I'll just make all the sound effect

OK what happened to my sound :evil: One min working, the other gone. sound works on eveything except the Sim. Reset PC, nothing ? Thats about the limit to my trouble shooting. Re-install the game? I don't want to. Looks like I will be fiddling around with this tonight. Just Ranting.

I'll have to back off the brew at first, and slowly apply fluid as time goes on. I got dizzy at the planetarium for the first couple min, but got used to it. Only one way to find out. Wait, Wait. So from what I am reading. We can use the unlimited Ammo of the bomb/rockets, But are only allowed to drop once per shot. If this is correct It should make it a little easier for me. I have been treating the bombs/rockets as if they were limited. :withstupid:
