Sorry Gec, It was the Norton firewall not letting the modded IL2.exe's through. It was only letting the no mod ones through. So Rog poked around and found where to tell it to let all IL2.exe versions through. Viola!! all is well.

Gents I appreciate all that has been done for me. I am really getting down on the whole issue. I might have to do what other Dog have done in the past.. Well, No joy on connecting to any modded server so far I can do no more. I am at the end of my current knowledge base. May I take one of you gentlemen up on your offers to remotely poke around into my Hamster cage and look from a different angle? I have to be missing something. OK, I went back at it and removed IL2 and all Mods, downloads, and what not.

I toggle the auto with my right mouse button and do just like Gec.

Update Downloaded installer from your above link and then did the checksum which still failed with 1 error. But I am now able to load 4.09 modded and others with no problems after trying to install it anyway. Although, I don't know of any 4.09 modded servers that are up to test my connection. But I am good for now,

Same exact stuff, I get the error window when I install and the md5v check is the same. The program still closes after the load during the modded version startup.
