  1. Do you mean that Hollywood does not actually represent things accurately? DT, you wound my naive soul. I'll never trust anyone ever again!

    U571....pfeh!

I suppose that you can't fire a 7.62mm minigun from the hip for a minute either, like in Predator? Say it isn't so......

Remember - this is where people get ideas like .50 cals can take out Tiger tanks.

I just saw the Battlefield Mysteries episode where they determined who actually knocked out Wittman's Tiger in Normandy. Excellent reconstruction of the events and investigative work.

  2. "The pup came back, the very next day.......

the pup came back, they thought he was a goner.....

O, the pup came back, he just couldn't stay away.........."

    Everybody...............

(you need to insert 'pup' where he says 'cat' to get the true DangerDogz ™ experience......)

  3. Congratulations, buddy. I'm glad that it worked out well for you. I think that you'll enjoy Edmonton, but you'll have to get used to cold, dry winters!

    I'll help with the house-warming party - I'll come as a lamp....

  4. Not sure this helps Pete.

I just tested AAA and 6DOF is fine.

Granted this is a 352/AAA install running in AAA mode.

Gunsight zoom maintains head roll, it just stops the Zoom movement.

Which version of TiR do you have?

Mine is V3, software is 4.1 Build 36

I have TIR3, latest drivers Roger.

  5. Hi all.

I installed AAA UI 1.1.1 on my new rig on Friday, and flew fine, but when I used the 6DOF, all it does is roll right and left.

I installed the latest drivers for TIR, and the AAA UI 1.1.1 was onto a clean 4.08 installation.

    Any suggestions?

A few, like are you sure that you're pressing Shift+F1 to change from wide-angle view and back? Same key-combo that toggles centring of Axis gunsights? TrackIR 6DOF only works fully if you have toggled to the wide view (Axis sights off-set).

You will only see the 2DOF version, plus head side to side, with Standard view toggled.

Are you getting the 2DOF view at all?

    B :dog:

Yup. I know all that, and checked it many times. It was working fine on the old rig.

  7. Whilst taxying for takeoff after refreshment a Dornier Skyservant landed...couldn't get a photo. It was Hungarian registered, flown by an Australian and was being used for parachute drops. Looked good and got plenty of admiring comments over RT.

    Sid to ATC:

"I've got a Dornier on my nose, Home Plate. Permission to engage..."

    ATC:

"Um, negative, that's a para-drop plane, mate, and it's friendly...we're calling the police, you loon."

  8. Uhh...Maybe Rattler and CG should both fly and help us in our direst hour?

I'd love to, Kelly, but it's just too early in the afternoon for me. Seems that you guys are all getting much better at it, though, and learning how to "game the game" too.

Like Forgotten Skies, it's all about points in SEOW. That, and the overall objectives.

  9. Nice shooting, but I'm more interested in what it looks like from inside the pit.

Those are the views that will teach us proper line up and deflection using the piper in a 190.

Most of us waist too much ammo per kill, as you do not, or allot less than most of us anyway.

There is an NTRK of the sortie, but I'll do a few passes from in the cockpit as well.

  10. Nice shots Pete. Was I the "victim" in the bottom pic? AAARRRGGGHHH !!! :soapbox:

    Logos ~S~

Nope, that was Trout. Did you check out the vid I made? I'm putting it to music later - 11 minutes long!!

Did you guys call for the Yaks to save you, or was it too hairy to take your hands off the stick? Come to think of it, a macro could be programmed for that.....put it on the joystick.....
