Hmmm, this is interesting, because I have let my icons grow like fungus on my desktop, and my system does seem remarkedly slower, especially on start-up or log-in.

I came back to my computer just now, to find my desktop background changed from the picture it always is, to a dark blue screen.

I have to say I am not looking forward to anything in particular, as I really don't have the time to play anything. I hardly get flying time for IL2 as it is, and I could use it. I still love games, but it tortures me to see what is coming out, so I try not to pay attention. The only things I am looking toward are BOB, Knights of the Sky; both flight sims, go figure. I HAVE toyed with the idea of going back to play WWII online now that I've gotten some skill with flying, as I don't quite get my strategic campaign fix with SEOW. DT

It also would be pretty defensible in the event of attack by mutant zombie hordes. I will keep it in mind. DT

For the record, I am NOT moving to Montana (not yet).

I am not a big sports fan, but championship gam of any sort can usually make it worth the while, and the Superbowl is a big event period. The reason why it was such a great game was that too many Superbowls have been blowouts; one team is kicking the ass of the other, and by the half, you know whose going to win.

Here is an interesting short article on a campaign to SAVE Windows XP. I post it not because I want to join the crusade to stop a numbnuts company from shooting itself in the foot, but because it made me wonder if I should buy a copy of XP now, pre-emptively for my next PC purchase whenever that is. I REALLY do not want to have to deal with Vista unless it gets a WHOLE lot better, but unless BOB will play on a Mac, I, we, don't have many options, do we? Of course, knowing MS, they'll stop supporting XP a year after they stop selling it. DT
