    dropping pitch works great for slowing down for landings...much better than trying to just use throttle. find a need to drop pitch on the zero sometimes to 90 (it starts to sound rough sometimes at 100)

    Just found out that Art Sager passed yesterday. Art was a RCAF Spit pilot from BC, who had 6 kills in the war. http://www.vac-acc.gc.ca/remembers/sub. ... ple_id=133 I first met Art a couple years back at one of the Vancouver Island Aircrew Association lunches I was privileged to attend - and was lucky enough to have spent some time with him at other luncheons. He was author of a great book titled "Line Shoot".

    yea, didn't see it at first either...the van is trapped now. Reminds me of the lazy Vancouver city workers out on strike right now. 71 paid days a year off...yes, 71 paid days a year off...and still striking for more. On strike for 8 weeks now - yet the city streets have never been cleaner.

    odd one... have a ViewSonic monitor - graphics series g90fb...about 3 years old. On windows, lately it has been blinking a bit and everything goes a pale yellow/light gray instead of a vibrant white I'm used to with windows... any ideas?

    if it was one of those goofy ones where the guy is way way back out of range and not gaining - and you were able to swoop in, I'd go ahead - unless the target was smoking - then I'd hang back a bit to watch his 6 and give a few more moments. while people get antsy about the kill stealing - I know I'm happy that someone clobbered someone I was chasing but not catching.

    look at the cockpit...on the pilots headrest. in this skin someone has put up a couple of "pin up" pics... (I think this is a Condor Legion 109 skin) ok, nothing special here...just like this skin and the look of the water below.

    probably the best idea Enforcer (find a used one). here, a lot of the independent computer service stores have a stock of old 17inch for around $50. I think they are a lot like used dvd players...kinda cheap and without value when people decide to upgrade.
